I would say so. A rulebreaking can't authorize anyone to commit another rulebreaking.
And as a Detective cannot possibly be a T, it would be a RDM.

If this happens again, I would rather suggest report the player, especially if he did it on purpose.

But the word from a staff member would prove more reliable than mine.
