People are entitled to their own opinion and simply bullying someone for what they like is what low-lifes usually do. If you already have an opinion that is offensive then it's best if you kept it for yourself. It only seems like banter when friends are insulting each just as on this thread, but people with different beliefs who read through them won't think the same, and will most probably feel discriminated. Further discussions/arguments as such will result in Forum bans.
