Richard is already forum staff for the Server Applications section; meaning his previous experience would come in handy for new roles. From what I can see, he is doing a decent job thus far in locking/updating topics where appropriate. As a member of the SSRP staff team, he is also responsible for handling quite a number of appeals that are posted within that section - so he is already an active user/poster in that section.
