Hell yes I'd love to see this but moving all the current appeals will take time to move indivually, how can this be done in any other way?
I don't think we'd really need to move all past reports - Maybe rename the current section to an archive of old reports and move it inside a new section which could follow the original idea?
To add onto this, why not have a button for posts in marked sections for "Accept" or "Deny" with a dropdown for the server and a text field for denial reason if applicable, then having the post be automatically marked and moved to the correct section with a reply posted (the way I've seen a large majority of gaming forums doing things). Would make life easier, though of course it would need to be whitelisted for section staff+, and would take :work:
That's a smart workaround but are you proposing a singular archive section as an alternative?
Also I don't get the automation proposal. If Billy Bob the surf admin accepts a report, he can post the verdict but he won't get access to the automation tool, whereas Bob Billy who is forum staff but not a surf admin does but can get access to post an outcome? Have I misunderstood something?
