Lets introduce you to your staff duties!
As a moderator, your main task is going to involve handling admin requests, commonly known as "F1's". As you might know, F1's are created by users, which require the assistance of a staff member. From now on, whenever someone creates an F1, you will receive an in-game popup in the upper right corner of your screen. To view more details about the F1, as well as to handle it, simple press the F1-Button on your keyboard. You will be greeted with the "Zarp Administrative Center"-Interface. In there, you will have an overview of all active admin requests. If you want to handle a request, simple right-click on it and select the option "Handle this".
How exactly do you handle F1's?
Simply right-click the request again, to get additional options such as "Bring", "Goto", or "Mark as finished". Starting of, you should use the "Goto"-Option to get to the player, that needs you. Ensure, that the player is not in an RP-Situation and talk to them. Find out whats going on, and try to be as unbiased and rightful as possible. You can use the commands described below to better handle the situation. If you are being disturbed by another player during your F1, just teleport yourself and the player that seeks your help to a roof. Always make sure you don't interrupt any important situations, before you teleport someone away. If you find, that someone is breaking a server rule, its your job to hand out a punishment. The severity of the punishment is mostly up to you. After you have successfully handled the situation, bring the players involved in your sit back to their original location or back to spawn. Don't forget to mark the F1 as finished in the Administrative Center.
How to decide on the severity of a punishment?
Before thinking about a punishment, you should ensure, that you know for a fact, that the suspect has comitted the rule break. If you are not sure, don't hand out a punishment. In general, staff members are not required to store evidence for rule breaks, but in difficult cases, it could be pretty neat to have a recording or a screenshot on hand. Now, how harsh should the punishment be? Its mostly up to you. You should ask yourself the following questions. How much damage has the suspect caused with his rule break? How has the suspect behaved, when confronted. How many punishments have been recently handed out to the suspect? (find out, using the interfaces described below) Has the suspect apologized? Do you think the suspect will comit another rule break? These questions should help you decide, how you punish someone. If you are still unsure, you can always ask other staff members for advice. You should not be afraid to hand out punishments yourself however.

What interfaces are available to you as a moderator?
F1 - Zarp Administrative Center
When pressing the F1-Button on your keyboard, the Zarp Administrative Center will open. It consists out of four tabs with various utilities for your staff duty.
The first tab is called "Admin Requests". Here you can see an overview of all active F1's, their subjects and who is handling them.
The second tab is called "Warnings". Here you can see all warnings that have been handed out in the current session. You can view who has been warned by who for what and how many total warnings the warned subjects have.
The third tab is called "Logging". Here, you can see all log entries that have been generated since you logged in. Kills, Job-Switches, Arrests, Defibs, Warrants, etc. can be found here. You can search the logs using the search bar in the upper right corner of the interface. We recommend searching for SteamID's, but be carefull, when searching ofr arrests. The arrested player's Steam ID doesent show up here. Use their name instead.
The fourth tab is called "Active NLR". As the name suggests, you can see the active NLR-Timers of every player on the server. Very usefull for dealing with NLR-breakers.
F6 - RapSheets
When pressing the F6-Button on you keyboard, the RapSheet-Overview will open. Here you can see all punishments that were handed out to a player. Bans, Warnings, Mutes, Jails, you can see everything here. Just select a player by searching for him in the "Select Player"-Dropdown in the upper left corner of the interface. If the player is now online, scroll all the way down the player list and click "Search". Just enter their SteamID to find their punishment history.
Punishments that have been handed out up to two weeks prior are considered "recent" and are therefore marked red. These punishments should be considered, when handing out new punishments, as well as in staff meetings, when talking about someones application.
Now you should be ready to attend your duty ingame. We hope you enjoy your new staff position and we trust in you to do a good job handling F1's.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask another staff member. Don't worry. They will understand your struggle. Even head admins have been moderators once
