This is actually a false statement, I could easily bypass your mobile authenticator very easily, all you gotta do is login via steam using your authenticator code and I can get in lmao

my point was, there is no way to get around a mobile authenticator as long as you don’t manually give out your code to something that is not steam

There were and probably are multiple ways to get them, afaik all you really need is TOTP's shared secret key and you're in

Also, my account has been without 2FA since 2012 and never been yoink'd, it's entirely the user's fault.
