How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator:

My time as an administrator has benefited me in many ways. Firstly, being an administrator has made me extremely aware of the workings of the server and how staff are expected to act and I am confident that this newly gained knowledge along with my other traits warrants this potential promotion to Super-Administrator.

What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? :

There are many reason that I consider myself a good candidate, here are just a few:

Maturity/Confidence:

Over all my different staff roles spanning over many different games and game modes, I have developed into what I consider a hard-working, dedicated staff member should be, and this is rooted with both Confidence and Maturity. These two characteristics allow me to act calm and collected in both stressful and high intensity situations, which I consider a very important characteristic that a staff member must possess. As well as staying calm this also allows me to carry out my job as an administrator in the best of my ability giving my all to ensure that each and every player/staff member in the community are having the best possible time while they are with us here at Zarp Gaming.

Past experience in administrator / Lead to positions:

I have previously held many high/lead-team equivalent ranks on garry's mod servers, so I can say that to some extent I have had quite a lot of experience with dealing with issues / duties that generally lead-team staff have to deal with for example : Responding to staff applications; ban appeals, and generally any other complaints from within the community. Having this past experience with these duties ensures me that the learning curve wouldn't be as steep as for example someone that has never been in a position of that responsibility. This experience will also ensure that the transition for me from admin will not be at all difficult for both me or the staff team.


In-game attitude:

While in-game I consider my attitude to be extremely friendly, and welcoming to new players of the server/community, I consider this a very important characteristic especially in the position of lead-team due to the fact that as there is a lot of communication necessary during events such as training people, meetings and just general discussions, which is why I consider it a very important part of being a staff member and why I always to to convey myself in the most friendly way in-game.


Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:

During my time as an administrator there hasn't really been any major situations in which I required help from any of the lead team as up to now they most serious situation I have had to deal with is perhaps some targeted disrespect.

Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:

I would initially read through the report to try and get a basic understanding of the situations and what exactly the staff member is being reported for. I would then look through any evidence that has been provided by the reporting side to support their side, I would determine whether or not the their evidence is valid.
If the application shows a strong argument I would then move on by enquiring about the staff members point of view on the situation. Finally if I consider their is a possible warrant for a punishment I would bring it up in a lead-team meeting, and let it continue from their.


Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?


If I was to see this happen while in-game I would use staff chat to communicate with the staff member and firstly ask them why the punishment was so excessive, if they give me a valid reason for example: the player had many recents for similar offences I would determine whether or not the punishment was perhaps fees able implementing this new factor, if not I would most likely reduce the players ban to a length that I see fit for the offence they have committed.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?


If I was to see a staff member struggling I would first ask them in staff chat if they would like help dealing with the situation. If they require my help I would issue the player with the rightful punishment for the offence they have committed. If the fact the staff member was struggling was due to the fact that they didn't know how to use one of the commands, or didn't know the correct procedure when dealing with something of this situation I would perhaps give them some pointers of what they should do next time to ensure that it doesn't happen again, as well as this I would also offer them my assistance whenever they need it via steam message.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?


There is many different ways that I would resolve the situation relative to what rules the staff member has broken, if for example the staff member broke a minor rules such as trap reactivation which is a rule easy to mistakenly break I would initially inform them of the rule they broke and ensure that they know not to do it next time he/she would be given a second chance which I try to do with every player that clearly mistakenly breaks a minor rule. If for example they broke a rule that as a staff member they should know is clearly against the rules such as racism I would first start by telling them to stop in-game, if they do stop and it was just a one time situation I would still bring it up in the lead-team meeting but initially not issue any removal of in-game roles or punishments such as gags.

If the staff member carries on intentionally breaking the rules and defying me to an extent where I am forced to remove their rank in-game, after doing so I would try my best to contact another member of the lead-team via teamspeak or steam to try and determine what long-term response to situation at hand.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?

I would initially as always try to understand the situation and what exactly the argument is about, after doing so I would try my best to repair the relationship between the two players, if this is not to work I would advise the two staff members to try and "put up with each other" to ensure that they continue to act professional and set a good example as staff members of the server. If I deem the situation between them so serious I would possibly bring it up in the lead-team section of the staff meeting so that along with the rest of the lead team we can develop a fix that benefits everyone.

Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?

If I was to see this kind of behaviour from a member of the staff team to this extent where it could have long lasting effects, I would remove any staff permissions from the player to ensure that there is no more lasting damage to the community, once doing so I would again try my best to contact another member of the lead-team and discuss how we best go about punishment in terms of the player.
