Taylor's Prophunt Adminstrator Application

Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an Admin

All though my time as a PropHunt Moderator hasn't been long i have gained a very good understanding of rules and how to deal with PropHunt specific situations efficiently by my self. As a result i believe my time as moderator will contribute to me possibly becoming administrator as with the ban command i will be able to work alone rather than needing high ups to ban people for me and as i rarely see other staff on this would be greatly beneficial to the server.

Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command

Mass exploiting
Continuous racist remarks or discriminating remarks to others
Leaving to avoid a punishment(s)
High recent count and still breaking rules
Generally breaking basic rules on repeat with intention to do so

If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?

If i was to train a moderator i would firstly go over in game commands(when you use, how to use and why)
Then i would go through awarn system with how to warn and how to check peoples warns with !warn command
Next i'd go through rapsheet (f6) and explain that in the date if its red its recent (2 weeks) and that this may make the staff member want to change the punishment given if a player may have loads of recents for lets say mic spam the staff member may want to consider a punishment rather than a verbal.(i would also explain to always check rapsheet on players before punishing)
After that I would walk through staff ethos with attitude and how to correctly handle in game situations.
Finally i would explain what meetings are (able to vote on future mods and vote/bring up suggestions) And then ask for any questions.
(Would also link staff ethos)

Explain how you would handle the following situation:

Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

To start i would check that players punishments to find out how long that ban was given and also to see if that player has had any other punishments on the server.

If the player was banned over a month ago with no other punishments:

I would unban this player and inform staff to keep an eye of this player for any suspicious behaviour.

If the player had caused previous problems on server and was banned over a month ago:

I would keep this player banned as they have disturbed the server multiple times with many breaches to the server rules and has already been given the chance to change.

If the player had appealed within a few weeks of the ban

I would keep this player banned and encourage the player to a more prolonged time before appealing a perma ban.

(Btw this question is pretty bad as admins can't deal with hacking situations and its against policy to respond to a ban you have given with the verdict)

Why Me?

Activity

My activity is fairly new but i mainly focusing how getting more consistent . As for my meeting activity, i have not attended a Prophunt meeting yet but i will be attending this weeks (2/11/2018). As i'm also HA on 3 other servers i have attended many meetings and always give good inputs with valid points.

Attitude

My attitude in-game is always positive and friendly to all and always try to create conversation in both voice and text chat. I believe i have a good,friendly and healthy relationship with all of the other staff members and speak some of them quite a-bit recently but it is hard to get in contact will all as i rarely see some of them and due to time zones.

Dedication

As i'm currently staff on bhop,surf and Deathrun i believe that this shows that i'm dedication to zarp but also as i'm active on forums i have dealt with quite a few appeals and punishment requests. I'm always reviewing appeals/punishment requests even when i'm not handling as it gains me experience of different scenarios and how to correctly deal with them efficiently.

Teamspeak

My teamspeak activity is extremely good as i'm always talking to other staff and meeting new people from all across the community. As weird as it sounds when i get bored on the nights i frequently join public chat rooms and just start talking to new people to create a friendly feel for the community.

Forums

My Forum activity is very good and could always notice when a request or appeal is submitted for i can help or deal with as soon as possible. I'm also trusted as i have a forum section moderator rank.

Conclusion

As a result i believe i am fit for this role with the experience I have from other servers and with the experience with Prophunt. I believe i should be chosen as prop hunt administrator as i have a very good understand on the rules and i understand that it may still be early days for me on prophunt but as i said above i will be able to work alone rather than needing high ups to ban people as i don't see many other staff members online. (mainly because of the lack of staff)
