More than likely this will be brought up during the LT meeting, because if this report is not accepted there's a problem. It is very blatant abuse, and even if he is new, he applied to be a staff member. Those that apply are expected to take the role seriously. If you can't prove yourself within the first week you're probably going to be dumped. I respect your want for just a talking to, but he will probably be retrained on the ethos and how to be a proper staff member.
