Hello {Name}!
Congratulations on your new moderator rank.
I'm here to help you understand all the tools and commands you'll be needing in your time as a moderator.
I'll start with commands:
Generally, an important thing for all commands is to always use someone's SteamID instead of their name. For instance, when using /goto, do not use the player's name (/goto Rick Johnson), and instead use their SteamID (/goto STEAM_0:0:62875951). We do this to avoid, for example, teleporting to the wrong person, falsely warning another individual, etc.
Teleportation:
/tp - The teleportation command is one of the most essential commands for a moderator. This command is used to teleport yourself or another player to wherever your cursor is pointing. In order to teleport yourself, simply write "/tp" in chat. To teleport another player, do /tp (SteamID). A teleportation bind you can use is:
bind "key" "say /tp"
/goto - The /goto command is used to go to a player. The correct usage is /goto (SteamID).
/bring - The /bring command is the opposite of the /goto command. This command is used to bring players to you, and the correct usage is /bring (SteamID).
/back (or /backspawn) - Sends a player back to their original location or back to spawn. Correct usage is /back (SteamID) and /backspawn (SteamID).
Punishments:
/warn and /unwarn - The warning command is used to give someone a warning for breaking a rule. This is the most common punishment. Correct usage is /warn (SteamID) (Reason) and /unwarn (SteamID) (Reason)
/slay - Slays/kills the person in question. Correct usage is /slay (SteamID)
/kick - Kicks a player for the server. You should only use this if the player has committed a massive rule breaks, etc. Correct usage is /kick (SteamID).
/freeze and /unfreeze - This command is used to freeze or unfreeze a player. Correct usage: /freeze (SteamID) and /unfreeze (SteamID).
F1 Menu:
The F1 menu is the most important tool in your toolbox. The F1 menu lets you handle F1s, view recent warnings, view the logs and see active NLRs.
The first tab on the F1 menu is the Admin Requests tab. This tab will show you all active F1s. In order to handle an F1, simply right-click an active F1 and press "Handle," after this, you can right-click again to more effectively goto or bring a player. Once you're finished with the F1, right-click again and press "Mark as finished," and in the case that you are unable to help, press the "Abort" button on the F1 so it is available for any other staff members that are online and may be able to help.
The second tab lets you see recent warnings made by other staff members and yourself. This is generally not used a lot but can be handy in case you need to retrieve information about a warn or something along those lines.
The third tab is very useful and lets you see all the logs for the server. You can see hits, arrests, kills, NLRs, joins/leaves and team changes. If you want to copy a specific log, right-click and press "Full Log" and it will be saved to your clipboard.
The fourth menu is quite simple and lets you see people with active NLRs, their SteamIDs, when the NLR expires and where these NLRs take place.
At last, there is an F6 menu that lets you browse and look up punishments for certain SteamIDs
Remeber to stay up-to-date with the
server rules and the
staff ethos.
