I watched someone get formally warned in-game earlier for calling someone else a dumbass, by a member of staff. I don't see that this is any more petty than that. If he was a player, perhaps, I would feel petty, but in this case, he's a member of staff and is meant to be setting a standard for players to follow, not insulting them.
