The keypad just being on a prop doesn't make it valid. The rule states they are for controlling contraptions. If they are activating something they are clearly fine even if that something gets blown up. But if they don't activate anything they shouldn't be there.
next time sum1 tguns a base with keypads, some admin better get on and remove em
