Server Name: Semi-Serious RP
Suggestion Title:
Getting two days off every week, stripped from your ranks so you relief pressure, resulting in you not feeling obligied to do staff work and getting burnt out too much, as alot of people do.
How would it benefit the server:
Less people resigning cause they get burnt out which they often can't show, resulting in them using certain excuses for leaving the team. Staff members would also be allowed to enjoy the servers freely without having to think of doing F1's. SSRP is a 7 days a week duty you volunteer for free and therefore it should be there for enjoyment, not obligations.
Potential Issues/Exploits:
An implementation of a system temp-demoting staff members as they're given their two days should be mandatory as it would prove quite unprofessional and time consuming for Higher ups to constantly having to strip their ranks every week. From my short experience as staff member it felt like a job which i hated, ended up me resigning really quick. Therefore I and many others thinks it relates to real life jobs. If you're given two days a week to look forward to you could put more effort in the remaining 5 days to with quality handle situations.
Another issue is if some people would prefer to keep things as they are and keep doing staff work to show dedication and interest for the community. Therefore it should be a choice whether you wanted this for your schedule or not.
With a system added more features could be added such as working 7 days a week before going on a long vacation to add up extra days so you'll hopefully keep your rank once you're home. And much more to be added.
Additional notes:
This could be made in different ways but I think the best way would be to give Moderators 1 day a week and Administrators 2 days a week.
Super-Admins and higher ups already seem to not have use of this as they're not obligied to do F1's and keeping the servers in control, however this isn't my decision.
Mainly inspired by Gems thread I was reminded of how dirty being staff is nowdays. You're forced to do work when you really don't feel like or just simply don't have time to. It applies pressure which doesn't really get off very easy without features like this.
