I've seen Cranky play it a lot actually, not dure where the argument that he wouldn't want to play comes from.

Well I mean if he played it a lot then surely his gametracker wouldn't show that within the whole of the last 30 days he only started actively playing last week.

Gametrackers only show you play if you kill someone. Some people don't like to role-play to that certain degree. However cranky can always give proof such as taking screenshots of the console when he types in 'status' I'm sure this will be sufficient proof.
