As you state, you do not have to warn for T traps. Nickolas will be spoken to about that matter.
Even if a user, or in this case a staff member, forgives you, you are still allowed to be punished. The staff member should take into account the fact that the reported player forgave you, but as you broke a rule, you are still free to be punished.
Who removed the slay? Was it Fire, or was it Nickolas? If it was Nickolas, then he didn't do anything wrong aside from the fact that he should have been more careful with punishing you.
If it was Fire, then they should not have removed Nickolas's punishment. Only Head Administrators or higher can remove another staff member's punishment without permission.
