I use a lot of programs and i prefer photoshop but if you are poor kid like me then continue using gimp, press File > New the put a size like 600x142 and pick a background, once you’ve done that paste it the resize it so it fits how you would like. Then write some text and thats it, when you make more signatures you become better and you will start trying out new things such as blurred backgrounds etc.
