Steam Name: Landon Koffman
Time Zone:CST Link to Steam Profile: steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198159599519/ What server are you applying for? SSRP SteamID: STEAM_0:1:99666895 Current Gametracker Profiles: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Estimated Server Time: 108,012 minutes or 1800.2 hours or 75 days Languages I speak: I only speak English fluently, though I am taking a Spanish class and know some Spanish. How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] I think it has contributed greatly, over my time as an administrator I have learned a lot of things, some of the these things are, yo always use steam ids or the tab menu, make sure that if you are using the tab menu that you have the correct person, it's better if you come forward if you accidentally messed up, it's always ok to get a second opinion no matter how stupid or how obvious the answer is, you have to be a little rough or blunt with some players, always keep your cool during situations or you will regret it and will probably hurt others, I have learned much much more that cannot be described, like fluid actions that have helped me along the way, though there is a lot more that I have learned over my time as an admin this is all that I will put. What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want): Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] I think i'm the best candidate because I have been in the community for almost a year now, I have seen most of the personalities of the players that are on ZARP (there are those random personalities though that freak me out) and I have learned how to deal with them, for example, the type of player that tries to manipulate a staff member to get out of a punishment, whether it be making them uncertain, arguing till the staff member gives up, or the ones that make it sound like they are always right and they know the rules a lot better than you do. I simply just keep arguing and arguing, sometimes I'll ask a higher up and use their statement to further my point, or I'll shut their argument down because I know they are bullshiting and punish them, which I usually only do when I have witnessed the rule break and am fully confident that they broke the rule. I also have a lot of times where I know a player is hacking and all I can do is wait helplessly trying to contact a SA or higher to get on. I also feel like administrator is getting boring, because I've been in most situations an admin can handle and I know how to handle it, though i'll admit there are some situations where I ask for help or what I should do because it's not specified in the rules whether it's a rule break or not, now I usually can handle it alone but sometimes I want a second opinion just to make sure I don't mess up and end up regretting not asking for another opinion. I want to challenge myself with the responsibilities of Super Admin, and I truly believe that I can handle those responsibilities, I do admit, I know it will probably be hard at first, but I know that I'll get used to it. Yes, there are moments that I don't do the absolute right thing, but I'll admit it and then fix my mistake, I won't try to hide my mistake, I'll go to a higher up so that they can help me fix it, whether it be accidentally warning someone ( hasn't happened in a while) or regretting muting someone and having to get someone to remove the mute. I have learned over my time as staff that it is better to admit my mistake and attempt to fix it than just let people figure out it was me and end up hurting myself and others. I will never be perfect, I will always make some mistake along the line whether it be big or small, but I have accepted that and rather than pouting about it I take that mistake into mind and learn from it, and figure out how to avoid making that mistake again. Sometimes I think I know most everything about staffing but then I make another mistake and feel stupid, and that mistake sticks in my mind so whenever I have another situation similar to that situation I remember when I messed up and think how I can do it differently. Onto a different topic now, I don't have many enemies on ZARP and a lot if people like me, I feel that I am very trusted by the other staff members, and the worst thing that I could ever do is break that trust, so I do my best to keep on good terms with all sides of the community, I try to always be respectful and keep others opinion in mind when dealing with situations. Another reason that I'm a good candidate would be that I am very active on TeamSpeak, you can usually contact me through TeamSpeak, I leave my computer running all night for the main reason of getting poked, when I wake up everyday I look at TeamSpeak to see if I have any pokes from people that need me for something. Also I am usually active on TeamSpeak no matter what I'm doing, if I'm inactive in game I may still be on my computer, so you usually just have to poke me to get my attention. Lastly, I like to see both sides, I may have mentioned this before but I would like to go into detail about it. When in a admin sit, I like to put myself in the position of both or all participants to see how they feel. Some people truly feel like they are doing the right thing and I take that into consideration, and I sometimes punish them but most times I explain to them why they were wrong and the details of the rule they broke so that next time they are put into that situation they know to not repeat their actions and rather to take a different path to solve their problem that is not a rule break. Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] [Hmm, one time on S3 there was an obvious hacker, killing me when I was cloaked and no clipping, locking on when I tped, and finally when I froze him he was looking around, so I messaged multiple Super admins on Steam to come on S3 and that there was a hacker, after waiting a good 10-20 minutes waiting and trying to stall the hacker so he wouldn't leave, I got tired and finally lied to the hacker saying that I anti-cheated him and that I knew he was hacking and he admitted, so I told him that I would kick him and if he joined back instantly or while still using hacks he would be banned permanently, so I kicked him and never heard from him again. Now I know this wouldn't work on most ZARP players because they know only Super Admins and up can anti-cheat, I could tell that he was a noob and had just joined the server, so I decided to try it. while there have been multiple occastions where I needed a Super admin and had to work around it, I decided to use this one because it was one of the shorter, non- confusing times. Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member: Warning: Spoiler! [ Click to expand ][ Click to hide ] Well first I would look at the proof if any was provided, if not then I would most likely deny it or talk to the staff member about what had happened or if anything had happened at all, but if there is valid proof, meaning that it's not obviously something the staff member shouldn't be punished for, I would contact the staff member and ask their side of the story, what had happened before the event, all that and I would look at both sides of the stories and the reasoning behind what the staff member did. If I feel that it's something the staff member should be punished for then I would accept the Report Abuse and either talk to the staff member about it or bring it up in the meeting for the other lead team members to decide, now if it was a HUGE abuse of power like banning multiple players for no reason or something like that I would demote the staff member then bring it up in the meeting. Hello Player X after talking to the reported staff member about their side of the story and thinking it over I have decided to Accept this report ![]() OR Hello Player X after speaking to the reported staff member and thinking over his/her decisions I have decided to deny this report ![]() Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly? First I would ask the staff member why they banned the player for an excessive amount of time and ask for them to explain what had happened during the rule break and the sit to try a little harder to see the staff member's point of view, then if a valid reason is not given I would talk to them and explain to them what might be a valid amount of time and if the reason was bad enough I would bring it up in the lead team meeting. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation? Well, I would first confront them in admin chat to tell them what they are doing wrong or how to fix their mistakes. If that does not work and they continue to handle it in an inappropriate manner, I would either step in and take over the sit, or help the staff member out a little through it, then when the sit is over I would take the staff member to a private area and explain in detail what they did wrong, how to fix it, and how it could have gone better. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation? Well my first action would be to ask if the accusing staff member has any proof if so, and it is valid, I would either talk to the accused staff member or bring it up in the lead team meeting, but if they didn't have any proof then I would watch the staff member for an hour, or when there was a tempting time to abuse, like a raid, an event, ETC, and finally if the accused staff member abuses while i'm watching him I would talk to him about it so he would stop and then bring it up in the lead team meeting, but if he shows no signs of abusing then I would just let it go and maybe watch the staff member some other time. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation? First, I would confront the disrespectful staff member and tell him to fix his attitude or that there would be consequences, and then tell the disrespected staff member that next time it happens either ignore them or bring it up to a lead team member and to not keep it going. If the disrespectful staff member continues in an argument or being disrespectful then I would force him to stop, and then later bring it up in the lead team meeting. Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation: You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member? Depending on how severe the harm was, I would either talk to him in admin chat to get the staff member to stop his actions, or if it was really severe then I would demote the staff member and bring it up in the lead team meeting for the other lead team members to decide what should be done with him. Hi duck you are currently doing a pretty good job at being an admin however I’ll list some things you can improve on.
Firstly in the meetings it is almost necessary for you to speak up as you NEED to be persuasive as a lead team member. I suggest during the week looking at certain applicants applying for staff and noting down some information you can bring up about them in the meetings and telling others why they should choose your opinion over someone else’s. You can also poke people over teamspeak saying that staff are needed on a certain server. Since as a lt u will have a teamspeak rank and this will be useful. You could also try to join spacers that have current lead team members in it since you will get to know each other really well and you need to know if you are going to get along with each other. Lastly you could offer to help out current staff to see if they need any help since I’m sure you have a lot of experience overall as you are a long reigning staff member. Goodluck! |

Though I will take this into consideration and stop going inactive as much. +support[/quote] |

I only play on s3 pretty much (unless im buying stuff) But when ever I see duck he is always doing a great job. He is never bias , he always does f1s and i see him around alot. s3 could use more staff like duck. (considering that when there is no staff on s3 it turns into chaos and cargo containers are flying threw spawn along with constant rdm) But long story short Duck is a great guy and great staff DUCK FOR SA. ![]() |

Hello duck,
The only current issue I see you have is that you don’t necessarily interact within the meetings and if you really wanted SA you really need to start to show yourself more within the meetings, attend them and also speak up with your opinions. I currently don’t see this from you and I believe it needs to improve if you are wanting super admin. |
