How would it benefit the server:
No more AFK mining, happy life, making it risky to make money.

Potential Issues/Exploits:
Less money in Chutes Wallet.

Additional notes:
Make gems only obtainable during an update and only allow them to be sold or used during updates.

But everyone will stockpile as many rubies as their inventory and bank weight allows them, and I can tell you I have a lot of that
