I think downloading the maps through the inet and placing them on the maps / addons folder on gmod

You can download them through here
fastdl.friendlyplayers.com/luan/maps/
and place them into your gmod folder

The reason why you couldn't join / download the maps is because the Fast DL was down , its back up now so it should all be good.
