If I started my own server, would I be demoted.

Yes.

As long as it isn't darkrp, then you should talk to Chris or Chute about it. Chris used to own his own community.

What if I was an super admin on one? That I didn't own.

General Rule:
If you are staff, or own a competitor community (as in, Garry's Mod server), you will be stripped of your ranks unless allowed at the discretion of Chute.
