Languages I speak English Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin. I have been staff for over a month and this isnt my first time being a moderator, I have seen lots of different sits and different types of people and learnt how to deal with them. I have learnt from my mistakes whenever I have been reported to make sure something like that doesn't happen again. Also when I was staff I have learnt to use the commands efficiently. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). There has been multiple situations where users broke building rules and I had to get help from higher up staff members to get rid of prop block and numerous other building rules. Also some people who even were hacking and killing everyone in spawn had to be dealt with but of course being a moderator you can't do too much apart from freezing them, I contacted the only admin online at the time on my friend list and they came and quickly dealt with the situation. If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? Hello, I would like to congratulate you on receiving the moderator rank! I will be helping you learn the new commands you have and give you some other tips. Your main goal as a moderator is to not punish people, but to make their experience better. Firstly you need to read the staff ethos which show you how you should treat people and when to warn them. zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/general-d...s-staff-ethos#289994 Ok good, now lets look at the new commands you have and what they do: -Warn: This command is used when a player is breaking rules. You use this command in sits and when you are certain that the target is breaking rules and actually deserves the warning according to the ethos. Also before warning people you need to make sure they understand why they are getting warned and what rule they have broken so that in the future they dont break it again. When a player receives 3 warnings they will be kicked from the server and when they receive 4 they will be banned for an hour. To warn people make sure you only use steamid, do not use their name as you could accidentally warn someone else. Example: /warn (steamid) (reason) -Teleport: This command will be used whenever you need to teleport someone to a sit for example. Or this can be used for you to get to a roof. When you use the teleport command it will tp you to the place you are pointing to. So if you do /tp this will to you to where ever you are looking. If you want to teleport someone to a roof, you click on their name in the tab menu and click teleport. Create a key-bind for teleporting as this will make it a lot more efficient. bind "[Key]" "say /tp" Example: bind "t" "say /tp" -Back: This command will teleport you back to your last position. This will be used when you finish a sit and you need to teleport everyone back to their last rp location. You can use this through the tab menu by clicking on someones name and clicking "Back" You can choose whether to tp them back to spawn or their last location. -Goto: This command is used when you want to go to a specific person, this is mainly used when you start an f1 and you want to go to them. Use this command by clicking their name on the tab menu and clicking Goto. -Bring: This command brings someone to you, this command should not be used to teleport someone to a sit, as afterwards you cannot use the "back" command on them anymore because of a bug. So if you want to teleport someone to a sit use the "tp" command. But this command is useful for bringing people to you from the dead. If someone is dead on the ground you can use this command to teleport them to you and bring them back to life. Use this command by going in the tab menu and clicking on their name and then bring. -Freeze: This command is used to freeze someone if they are breaking rules or escaping sits. People who are frozen cannot be killed and they cannot move or shoot, which is very useful when dealing with a rulebreaker. Use the tab menu when you need to use this command. -Mute Chat: This command is used when someone is being disrespectful or spamming in the chat. You can use this in the tab menu. -Mute Globally: This command will mute someones voice, use this command if someone is being disrespectful through their voice. -Slay: This command will kill a specific person, this is used when someone has a gun they cant own, for example if a citizen has a big gun and refuses to drop it you can slay they so they lose it. -Unban from job: This command will unban someone from a specific job, for example if someone false demotes a miner that person cannot be a miner anymore, but with this command you can unban them from that job. -Kick: This command will kick someone from the server, this command will mostly be used when a user is breaking rules excessively and you feel that they need to cool down or just leave. If they rejoin and still cause trouble consult an admin and see if you can get that player banned. Use the tab menu and always have a reason. Now lets talk about some other things a moderator gets. "Admin tool" You will see that you will spawn with this tool no matter what job you are. This tool will check what keypad controls what fading door. You can use this to check how long a fading door will be open for, also this can be used to make sure there is no hidden keypads. F1 Menu This menu will be different for moderators than users, you will see all current admin request the users have made, also you can the logs which show kills, deaths, job switches, demotes, revives, disconnects and connects also will show arrests. You will use the logs when you do the F1's in the menu, also the menu shows the current active NLR which will show who has NLR which can make proving someone breaking nlr easier. Also this menu shows active warnings that the staff team has given out to the currently connected players. F6 Menu This menu will show all the warnings people have that are currently connected or if you their steam id you can check their warnings. This will be used to see if people deserve a warning, if someone has no warnings they might be new so you should take it easy with them. But if they have loads of warnings and are just clearly breaking rules dont be afraid to warn them. Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I have read over your ban appeal and I can see that are sorry for your actions and I think you are sorry for what you have done. I have spoken to the admin that banned you and we have agreed that you can have a second chance, make sure that you read the rules again and make sure you dont propspam again.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words). I think I should be accepted because I have been an active moderator for over a month now and I have done the F1's to the best standard that I can. I always get both sides of the story and explain the rules that people break so that they dont break them again. Also I always try to get the F1 sorted even if the people dont have proof, I always try to get the people to admit their mistakes instead of lying about it. I have done as much as I can as a moderator but if I was to be promoted to admin I could deal with F1's a lot better and easier. Having access to the new commands will help me keep the server clean of the rulebreakers. I overall enjoy the server and I have a good activity so I can always play and help out people. |
