Explain a situation where it would be appropriate to use the ban command:
The ban command should be used as a last resort to someone breaking the rules, unless they're cheating and it's obvious. I think a simple example of this would be a player who constantly RDMs, despite multiple slays, warnings and cautionary punishments, they proceed to RDM and cause trouble. In my opinion, a ban would be a suitable punishment for a player in this scenario.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
I used to be a follower of the saying, "once a cheater, always a cheater". But after being a high level admin on a popular roleplay server for SA:MP, I was introduced to a probation scheme that allowed exploiters and cheaters to rehabilitate themselves; I witnessed several players pass through this probation scheme and turn over a new leaf.
Nevertheless, cheating is still a serious offence. I would definitely give them a decent amount of time off the server. Maybe a couple of months or so before I'd be ready to give them a chance. I'm all for giving people a second chance in this type of scenario, sometimes people do regret their decisions and want to start fresh.
Why should I be promoted (we recommend around 100 words):
Over the time I have been a moderator for the TTT server, I have dedicated a large amount of my free time to familiarise myself with the staff menu and RDM manager in-game. I personally believe I have done a good job so far in moderating the server with the resources I have. I have done my best to reinforce the ethos that is held within the ZARP Gaming community, but making sure I am firm but fair when it comes to punishing players who do wrong. I will always try to explain to someone what they did wrong and what they should do in the future. I have personally found that this is the best way to interact with regular players as they learn from their mistakes and often avoid making the same mistake in the future.
Overall, I believe I am ready to move onto the next stage; the admin stage. I have a decent understanding of the resources we have available as TTT staff and I wish to proceed onto the next level of TTT moderation.
