TOPIC: Inactive for a bit.

Hello I'm sorry but I'm going to be inactive until i resolve this problem.

Problem: I Time out every time i join the server this has happened 3 days in a row and I've tried different things to fix it if you know how please let me know.

Length of Inactivity: I Do not know, all i know is once this problem is resolved I will be active again for sure.

Do you use any sort of VPN/something you connect to before steam and the server? If so, try disabling it. Always try a restart before giving up. Try reinstalling your internet driver (Uninstall, restart, reinstall, restart) just to make sure nothing goes wrong.

This will affect your moderator rank in time.
But if you find a way to fix it before a week or two, you're fine.
After that, it will most likely be too late.
But you can always reapply.

I have been working with him to figure this out, he can connect to any other server fine, it is just when he connects to zarp he gets stuck at retrieving server info then eventually times out. He was able to connect a few days ago though.

Just maybe, this is a complete stab in the dark. Go to the properties of your GMOD (Right click in steam library,) go to Betas and opt into the Dev Branch. This may or may not work I have no idea. It's the last thing I can think of you haven't mentioned.

Alright I've tried this on a seperate computer now, now i just think its either the servers problem or my internet. Possibly if I've been IP banned i don't know something like that maybe not sure just guessing now maybe the server blocked me or my internet isn't working properly i can try to look into it if theres any more ideas let me know.

OK so I've decided to do this goto my other house grab my laptop and connect if this doesn't work then i know its not me because that will be the third computer I've tried to connect with and it will be a different internet too.

Judging from what has been said so far, it's probably a DNS error. Try going to: https://developers.google.com/speed/pub ... docs/using and following the instructions there. Also, you might want to release and renew your IP using the following method: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~help/networking/IP_renew.html
That will give you a new IP and clear a few settings with DNS.

Unfortunately i got rid of Skype i do have Mumble which is kinda the same thing?
