Wouldn’t it make more sense to have it take like old ore + new ore that you would load into an entity? Maybe it makes more steel then you get by crafting and we could add like mining entities for bases that could pull up something that could be used that maybe couldn’t be converted into gems. Sir, why gem convertion got deleted on every items ? (exept resources, rare items.)

I think it can actually be really cool if you have to mine a new ore, and then load it into the Steel O' Matic to make it go faster.
EDIT: Or it can also take stone and gold and it will craft it faster, and will give more then 1 steel...
