I don't really see that as a problem as long as it's constructive and/or important. Posts that derail a thread that has nothing to do with that is what is considered nonconstructive. There's of course the "Help" section which is what it says. If you're so annoyed by these posts, why not make a suggestion that debunks more than half of the posts on here that have my jimmies rustled; great guy, +support etc. Call out the other groups, not just the users that make "contact me on Steam" threads, which in my view, not many surface daily.

How do you know if their main purpose to post that they need to contact someone is to "blatantly" get up their sub count?

Yeah, you're right, it's pointless to argue with someone who doesn't know the definition of pointless.

What else can you add in that? Sleeping, death, offline on any social media, away from keys... So many possibilities to conjure up for a suggestion that has been denied multiple times.

If they're offline, then patience is your game.
You're treating this as some kind of taboo doing that is frowned upon the majority.

This has and I think will never be needed. Instead of taking the time to have to deal with our own message system. We can instead just use systems that everyone already uses.
