How would it benefit the server:
It would give me a better idea of how many players are on the game servers.

My suggestion is to remove Discord and Teamspeak from the total players online as it gives me a false sense of how many people are playing the gaming servers.
Another way of fixing this is to separate the Teamspeak and Discord online count from the game server player counts.

It would give an accurate playercount for the gmod servers as this can be misleading!

It could be confusing for new players/members on the forums. Good point!

Unfortunately another suggestion was made just last year to do the exact opposite of what you're suggesting when we made this change therefore changing it back would likely annoy the majority of people.
