Server Name: SSRP

Suggestion Title: Forcefield nerf: 15 seconds+ after being emp'd

How would it benefit the server: Bring back the recognizable flow of the game that is crucial to how enjoyable fighting really is.

Potential Issues/Exploits: none

Additional notes: Before I continue let's not forget when others pushed to nerf the Mummy and Jet Suit due to how it negatively affected the game, everyone should be on board with a hard nerf on the forcefield, for the new ele map it simply removes the problem of the vent (why add the vent in the first place if forcefields are added) along with seeing 3 of them lined up in rich district it truly makes you question if it should really be up for discussion that they are hurting the flow of the game instead of positively changing it. You are not able to get in almost at all unless u constantly emp the forcefield so u can walk in to be killed immediately since, makes it difficult to even decide to push since you can get trapped inside and lose your suit completely ruining the risk and reward factor of pushing a nuke that is worth maybe an acs. Most items I'm seeing so far besides maybe the propellor trap seem to be unique or not overpowered yet good.
I would not be opposed to just making them completely useless since they are so cheap and so many of them are in the economy. I am enjoying my time on Zarp but after discussing this item with others who haven't been banned agree the problem needs to be solved.

:plussp: I'm not wasting anymore fucking time writing anymore paragraphs out about this it's already common sense in the community that it needs to be nerfed make more ways to counter it than the port emp and emp grenades as well as nerfing the damage.

It's effectiveness should diminish during the time it's used
I mean that when you use it, the first seconds would be full protection then it would like crack and let some bullets go through, the gluon should also take the shield effectiveness into account
Honestly it would be a very interesting game mechanic

There is a suit named the ACS that already does that but better, allow the suits to determine the flow of the game. 20m items that have effects like that have always proves to be a bad edition to the server, the Christmas launchers, tripmines for the first few months, and even Tguns if you really want to look at things that were considered bad ideas.

Although I am glad it stops gedf baton slappers from “fighting” I do believe it’s broken, place one in an airdrop to successfully stop the combat from being enjoyable. Sounds like a great 20m item.

hot take: set bhopping to a specific speed since both are serious problems

the change to make it better would be to have the downtime of the forcefield to be increased to 15 seconds or more after it is emp'd this allows real time to be spent inside and outside of the area it is blocking (30 seconds would even be nice)

Agree with the nerf but want to mention that emp is close to finishing a new map apparently so the problem with vents doesn't need to be considered much unless vents are also in the new map

If you really think thats fine with a 20mil item being able to one tap anything thats a problem

I understand your frustration. I suggest it gets nerfed by making it have similar properties to that of the barricade. In some instances i have seen around 10 players defending a nuke by just having a forcefield blocking the entrance to a district (Warehouse) and then having multiple people with gluons camp the vent meaning there is no way to get in. New players find it hard to even raid normal nukes let alone these forcefield ones

You should've played SSRP when they first released the handcannon. Common sense has never been a factor in this community.
