regarding your policy change thing, though it was likely discussed, I don't see any evidence of it being enacted upon in any meaningful way at the moment sadly. I could be wrong, but deleting and locking seems to be continuing as per usual.
Yes, I am afraid that the policy did not quite get implemented to the level of which I would've wanted it to, but a permanent upcoming solution has been announced that hopefully will come in the near future which will definitely somewhat fulfil the purpose of the policy change, to begin with. It shows they are aware of the issue at least and are somewhat willing to fix it.
I had stated as such before in the
[Community Team] Meeting Outcome which you can find
here. Even so here's what I said on that post
Its a great thing to see that transparency so far will be improved. Although the result of the policy change is not quite what I had suggested its still a step in the good direction as it shows a willingness to change...
The policies were changed to make it clearer for someone whose post was deleted to find out why, but it did not quite solve the fundamental problems that we had pointed out. Regardless, there's only a limited amount of stuff that we can do as normal users and any push in the right direction no matter how slight will hopefully help in some way.
We do, do our research into what we can improve and how to do it, however, our suggestions are only still that, suggestions. They are not well enough written out to be tossed into policies right away. They merely are there to point out an issue and suggest a potential fix, it is in the end up the Community Team to decide how to implement the changes to fix the issues.
Perhaps our expression about it bearing fruit might've been a bit too enthusiastic, and we did not mean to give the wrong impression about its effects, we intended merely to state that some level of change has occurred because of it.
