After a big talk with Chute/Xnator last night, we have potentially identified things to investigate and improve within the community that wouldn’t require Chute or DEAD to get involved from a development standpoint. Things that can be improved with enough initiative and asking questions or starting discussions.

I get that you guys are keen for something new and to be honest, so am I however, I think we need to take a step back and assess what’s going wrong with the community before we set out decommissioning/launching servers. It’s all well and good that we can do something like that but we need to figure out why people are starting to dislike the community aside from game servers themselves.

Otherwise, folk are just gonna end up leaving this server because we haven’t sorted some other, deep-rooted issue.

Don’t get me wrong - I totally agree but we have to appreciate that Chute and DEAD are really the only people who can make changes to SSRP and Xnator is really the only guy who has the time and knowhow to create big pieces of content for Pointshop.

Our hands are tied on this one because everybody is busy; there’s not a lot that can be done as the people capable of making big content changes are few and far between so we need to find ways to make the community more interactive, transparent and just outright entertaining to be a part of that doesn’t require massive content updates to the servers; Chute, DEAD and whoever else will get to that once they have the time.

Without updates the servers do get stale, but over the years the updates follow the same repetitive trend and I imagine player would be bored of this.

It may be troublesome, but I suggest that everyone who is available brainstorm new ideas for updates straying from the same repetitive path that the servers have been following and get some people from the communities thoughts about the ideas thrown forwards.

There was one in the past ( 3 years ago xd) and it just didn't work im pretty sure that they couldnt decide what type of server it would be, I would link a post talking about it but cant remember if i can or not cause i forget the rules. Well either it was a thing or it just didn't get started up but I support this, just dont make a minigames server like hypixel or mineplex.
