I wasn't in support of this rule being changed in the first place and wouldn't mind seeing a return of elevator bases.

To be honest it was really op back then but with the recent addition of the new items and some rule changes they can become really balanced and still giving the defenders the advantage

All of the iridium items were added after the elevator bases removal. Thermals and hyper suits with the addition of rules such as disallowing fading doors next to elevator doors will balance it. You can just use thermals and rush inside with amphetamine maybe not destroy the printers but kill players with suits and slowly damage the base.

The soultion is to add more enticing reasons to base and even more special items that are less powerfull but designed for basing that could be craftable. If you want to improve basing I'd suggest putting your time and effort into coming up with some ideas that could improve basing on a whole not just one base.

If I remember correctly, the last 1 or 2 updates were mean't to buff basing, but from the amount of bases me and others have seen it looks like it has been completely nerfed. Please tell me what enticing reasons you can add to make people want to base. If you think about it, they've added a suit that 5x boosts peoples printers and still there are close to no bases apart from the few weekly bases from newer french people who chat shit when you raid them with 5 bullets from a psg and lockpick. This is my own opinion and I think basing has been destroyed. But I do see what you mean, thing is people wouldn't aim to buy or use less powerful special weapons because there may or may not be a need for them in a raid depending on the weapon, for example look at the gauss, when it became insta holster and 1 shot to destroy props everyone had it, used it or sold it for a reasonable price, mainly because it was op while raiding to get into a base quickly now it has been nerfed and would do nearly nothing in a raid and the price went down drastically. I am sure people would want more over powered weapons, this is just a thought.
