From my past experience in using the tools I have as moderator, and then again for this past month being mod I think I'm pretty well versed in what I can do and what I should do in particular situations. That being said I can't lie in saying I have done a whole lot as moderator for bhop. There's almost no rule-breakers and perhaps the odd mic/text spam which I have yet to even see. I put this down to the server being full of regulars that know the rules and to the amazing current staff team that all seem well involved and friendly. All I can say is that I'm mature, still getting to grips with mixing in with other staff and passionate about bhop. I love it.



There has been an extraordinary amount of players which I have had to punish. No, actually, literally no one. So this is hard to answer. But I can imagine plenty of scenarios of which I'd have to give text / verbal warnings, mutes / gags, kicks and possibly contacting staff higher up.



For the sake of making this easier, I am going to be assuming they have never had a staff role on any server beforehand.

Hello, first of all, join the server and hold tab to see the player list. You'll see if you click on someone's username that there is a number of tools to use.

There is:

"Kick" for example, if they are exploiting and not stopping it, but you will want to contact an admin to help assist you afterwards since they could join back.

"Mute Chat" is for if they are text spamming or being disrespectful etc. same reasons apply to "Mute Globally" but this would be for if they are on vc.

"Strip Weapons" is self-explanatory and that's for is they are spamming them which can distract and annoy other people trying to play.

"spectate" allows you to watch the player without them seeing your name/picture appear on their screen when you do. This is useful for catching someone using an exploit or simply watching someone who needs help bhopping etc.

"punishment" allows you to view their current punishments applied by other moderators and admins from any other Zarp server. You can then use the player list to view any other active player. A shortcut for this is F6. If you wish to apply a warning, for example, if someone avoids their mute by re-joining the server or if they break server rules use !warn in chat.

I would first reply to the topic saying I am handling this and proceed to try and contact the player who is appealing to talk with them, I'd do this via the Teamspeak or Discord server. If I couldn't then I would just take into account the information provided in the appeal.

Considering it was the players first ban and they had given a comprehensible detailed apology I would happily give the player another chance. I would also wonder why their first ban was permanent but that depends on what sort of exploit it was and I may even ask the staff member.



I am an experienced bhopper and staff member. Already clued up on the tools I can and will be able to use as Admin and I'm pretty calm and get along with most people. I attend meetings as long as I am not working and am active on the forums almost every day. I love bhop and all that good stuff, planning on staying as active on the server as I already have been.
