Explain how you feel that your time as a Moderator will contribute to you becoming an Admin: I've got over 46 hours on the server and have come across many situations to contribute to why I should be admin. As an admin, I could use commands i'd normally need to message a few people to get on to use. This is ineffcient, as a very active staff member I'll be able to deal with the majority of situations I come across quickly and effectively.

Explain a situation in which it would be appropriate to use the ban command: It would be appropriate to use the ban command if the user has multiple recent punishments, in this example, let's say 7. He obviously hasn't learned his lesson and struggles following the rules, he then RDM's and I ban him for a few days to read over the rules and gain a better understanding so he affects less players in a negative way by breaking our server rules for his gain.

If you had to write a letter to train a moderator in between 100-200 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:

Congratulations on your recent promotion [Names Goes Here], as a staff member, your job is to enforce server rules, and answer questions to help users on our server. We will go over the commands in a moment, for now we'll go over a few basics.

As a Moderator you can attend the Moderator portion of the meeting on Sunday, at 8:30 PM Local UK time. Here, you can vote on Moderator Applications and Suggestions. This is not a necessity, but we encourage for all staff interested to come and actively participate.

ULX Admin Menu

To open this, type xgui in console or !menu in chat. Here's how to make it a bind.

aMute
aMute will mute the target's ability to use admin chat. This is used when a player is abusing admin chat for non administrative need or if they are breaking other chat rules through this, such as racism, spam, etc.

Gag
Gag will voice mute the targeted player. This is used when a player is abusing voice chat (Racism, Spam, etc.)

Mute
Mute will chat mute the targeted player. This is used when a player is abusing voice chat (Racism, Spam, etc.)

slay, sslay
This is the same command, sslay is just silent. Slay is a form of punishment usable on players breaking rules that would directly affect other players experience. Such as RDM.

bring, goto, teleport
Bring will bring the player to you, goto will goto the targeted player, and teleport will teleport the targeted player where your crosshair is looking at.

Kick
This is not to be used unless lightly, usually not used though as it's unneeded for Murder as it's a simple gamemode.

Reports

!reports in chat or reports in console will open this menu. Here you can handle player reports. Here's a screenshot of the menu!



Admin Chat

To use this, type @ followed by your message. This is to be used for administrative reasoning, not for in game advantage.

Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for Cheating, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

Firstly we'll be assuming that he's banned by another staff member. I'd speak to the staff member about the user and get his opinion on his actions with the given situation. He explains the permanent ban was a bit much, and since he's apologized deeply and thoroughly, he'd like to see an unban of the user. I'd then go to the thread and type the following:

Hello user,

Myself and 'Admin Here' have discussed your appeal thoroughly and have decided the best course of action to take is you to be unbanned. We can tell you mean what you say in your apology, and myself and the staff member feel a permanent ban was a bit harsh. Please take a while to review the rules before you join the server, you can find them here. Thanks for your cooperation and for filling out the template, do not do this again.

What I can bring to the administrative team

As an administrator, I'll gain access to obviously the ban command allowing me to deal with users that are doing all they can to affect other players experience negatively. Often, i have to contact another staff member to come on and deal with something I know I could take care of in a few seconds effectively and efficiently if I was an administrator.

My Previous Experience

I've previously held lead team status on all servers at the same time for upwards of over half a year, as well as forum administrator and teamspeak 3 head administrator, and BHOP Owner. Currently I'm a BHOP Head Admin, SSRP Super Admin, Murder Moderator, Teamspeak Staff, and Friendly Players Moderator.

Friendly

In game and out of game, I'm known to be a very friendly person. I do my best to stay out of drama, and give everyone a fair and equal chance and do not hold grudges. I will not user my administrative powers to my advantage or against those I have problems with.

Active

I'm the most active Murder Player, this shows my dedication and activity goes well beyond the 2 hour minimum which some people even struggle to get.

Mature

I feel with a lot of people they can hold a facade of being mature, but they don't know when it's okay to not act professional in certain situations. With me, I known when to be serious at times and when not to be, I always love a good laugh.

Dedicated

I'm very dedicated throughout the Community. I currently hold SSRP Super Administrator, BHOP Head Administrator, Teamspeak Staff, Murder Moderator, and Friendly Players Member. I play actively, help consistently, and am on throughout the day to deal with players and staffs problems, and solving them.

Fair

I'm a fair person and staff member. I see situations from both parties perspectives, and always do my best to act on facts, not assumptions. I don't lean one way or the other and always hear out both sides and make them feel heard.
