Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
My time as an moderator was hard but showed me what tools where required to get the job done and has helped me immensely as an ex-admin
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
The largest obstacle I had encountered was a Mass RDMer who whenever I TPed would stop and lied everytime I talked to him. I could not spectate him and I could not fully determine if he was RDMing until proof was uploaded some time later. I spent the entire time watching him from afar to see if I could catch him out. Alas he left.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
So you got mod? On behalf of the staff team congratulations. Now I must start off by telling you not to abuse, you'll get caught. EMP has 90 screens, 1 for each player, and he watches them 24/7. He'll catch you and break your neck.
With that out of the way let's get started on the basic concepts of being staff:
Presentation: You must always give the player respect, present yourself as if you where attempting to impress them.
Trolls & Assholes: Now that you're staff you'll get people who want to make your life to hell, they'll make fun of you but you must keep your cool under these situations, if you need to quit the game but do NOT act on anger.
As long as you enforce the rules, don't use your powers to better yourself and give some respect to the player you will NOT be demoted. No matter what they say.
Just act cool and don't snap.
Commands: Using commands is useful but be wary of how they work. Some commands like /tp can target numerous players. As such if the command is given "/tp a". All players with an "a" anywhere in their RPname, steamname or steamid will be TPed. Make sure you find a unique section of the name or use the steamid.
Logs: Logs are imperative to determining who is telling the truth and who is lying. These are your greatest tool but do not tell the entire story. As such they need to be used in conjunction with the players account of the incident to allow you to form a judgement.
Staff chat: Chatting with staff is easy and only requires your messages to begin with either a "@" or "/// ".
Warning: After you have found someone to be breaking a rule you can determine what to do from here. You can simply use a verbal warning as a light punishment or /warn them using the following command
/warn {SteamID|RPName|SteamName} {Reason}
I'd give more but I think this is enough
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?

It would entirely dependent on the type of prop spam (Trying to crash the server or not), the time since the ban has been instated, and various other factors but if the effort is there I will most likely reduce the ban time.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
My unique timezone and dedication to zarp have in the past proved to be useful and with the current state of the server at the prime time for me, it seems that zarp may need another Australian staff member. I wish to come on to help ease the mass rulebreaks that occur when many staff are afk, asleep or not online. These times I see lots of people frustrated with the lack of staff, and I myself am one of them. While I have plenty evidence against said people it is almost not worth the effort to submit the evidence.
Furthermore over my 2 years as staff on zarp I have shown dedication and experience unparalleled by most other staff due to my sheer number of hours on zarp. Zarp has helped me through some hard times, I'd like to start giving back again.
