Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
As this is my 2nd time being moderator, and 3rd/4th time being staff, I have learnt a lot and mastered many aspects to being a member of staff on ZARP Gaming SSRP, I am always trying my best, and I am trustworthy and experienced.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
As a moderator I feel like other people do not appreciate moderators and would rather have an admin due to them being "more experienced", they are more experienced in most cases but moderators like me, or back when Soxey was mod, could handle things which others couldn't due to our experience.
One situation of someone acting like this was a while ago when I was doing a usual sit and someone REALLY wanted an admin for a basic RDM sit, I kept explaining that he didn't need an admin for the situation, and he begun to disrespect. I had to call an admin, only to tell him that he didn't need an admin for every situation.
If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello [Player's name], congratulations on moderator, welcome to the team. This will be a simple guide on being moderator.
First we'll begin with the commands :
/tp
Used to teleport to your crosshair, you can teleport other players by typing a players name or Steam ID after the command. This is also accessible in the tab menu.
/back
Used to return yourself or a targetted player to the last location they were at before being teleported. If used and the player has not been teleported during their session, they will be glitched out of the map so be careful!
/bring [name/steamid]
Used to bring players to you, although you can not use the /back command, you can revive players from the dead if needed in a certain situation. Accessible in TAB.
/warn [name/steamid] [reason]
Used to warn a player for rulebreaking. Be fair with warnings, and remember to type a reason!
/unwarn [name/steamid]
Used to unwarn a player, do not unwarn players than another member of staff has warned unless they give you permission.
/freeze [name/steamid]
To freeze a player and stop all of their movement, can be used in many situations but only if necessary.
/unfreeze [name/steamid]
Unfreezes the player and grants them their movement.
Unban from job.
Personally, I do not know the command but I use TAB for it. Select a player and press Unban from job, then choose a job to unban them from.
/kick [name/steamid] [reason]
Also accessible from TAB, it kicks the selected player from the server. They are not banned, therefore they can join back.
/slay [name/steamid] [normal/silent/explode/rocket]
Used to kill/slay a selected player, "normal" just kills the player, "silent" kills the player but makes no noise, "explode" blows up the player and "rocket" launches them up to in the air then explodes them, like a firework.
Admin Keypad Checker
This tool is very handy and is obtained by being a "Mod on Duty" which you can find at the bottom of the f4 job screen.
The Admin Keypad Checker, is used by clicking on a keypad to check the delay of fading doors. Just click on the keypad with this tool (It looks like a Half Life 2 pistol) and it will come up with "This keypad is connected to 0-[Any number] fading doors" This will tell you if it is linked and functional, or a troll keypad. If it is connected it will come up with a green beam leading up to the fading door, which will then have a "delay time". Remember that fading doors have to be on 4 seconds or more.
The logs
Press f1, as if you would be playing as a user to make an f1, but without the f1 system screen, it will pop up with a new screen, called the ZARP Administrative System. There will be 3 tabs.
•Admin Requests
•Warnings
•Logging
Admin requests show current f1s.
Warnings, show up with warnings gave to players by other fellow staff members. Make sure to do plenty of f1s as Super Admins and above can now see how many f1s you are doing.
And logging, is used to look at the logs. Such as : [09:07:36]Keith Cozart killed Xhantium Harper using a m9k_dragunovsvu.
To accept an f1. Press on your f1 button, and it will come up with f1s instead of the usual "Report tab". Click on the f1 you would like to handle, and click on "Handle this f1!" After that click on the f1 your handling again, and click on "goto" this will take you to the player who made the f1 so you can handle it. To show that you have finished the f1, go into the f1 menu, and click on the f1 again, and click "Mark as finished". And that's how to deal with requests. You can also click "Mark as Spam" if a player is trolling the system, you may also warn this player for false reports.
Now for the commands!
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello, [player name]
I would like to thank you for putting effort into a ban appeal.
I banned you for propspam, as the action you did has the power of crashing the server. I hope you understand what you did was bad, I will shorten your ban to 2 weeks, so you will still have time to think about what you have done. Remember to read the rules which are located
here!
Accepted!
But of course things have changed and the template needs to be updated, so here's the same situation if I was handling another admin's ban.
Hello, [Player's name],
Thank you for putting the effort into making a ban appeal.
I have spoken with the admin that banned you and we have both agreed to
shorten your ban to 2 weeks. Propspam is a serious offence and you will not be unbanned if you do it again. Please read the rules
HERE.
Have a nice day.
Why I should be Administrator again :
I think I should be administrator again because moderator lacks quite a few things, such as noclip and some other commands. With these extra powers I can do my role as a member of staff better as I won't have to call admins for certain things, and I can do it myself. I would also be able to handle more situations. I have been an SSRP Moderator twice, an SSRP Administrator twice and an SSRP Super Administrator once, so I believe that I have a good enough responsibility, and enough experience to handle admin again. I am very well known in the community and most people who have spoken to be trust me. I may only be 13 years of age but many people say I am more mature than the average 13 year old, as I have proved myself.
So I thank you for reading my administrator application and I hope to see you soon!
