Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin.
I think the real question is what my time as a former administrator of 2 times, moderator of 2 times, Teamspeak staff, Deathrun Moderator, TTT Moderator, and community member will contribute to me becoming an administrator once again in the community. Over the 2 years I've been here, I've helped out, helped players and staff even when I haven't had to, met new people, new staff, and old members and staff as well. Over the 2 years I've been in this community, mainly spent on SSRP, even before Chuteuk was the owner I've had the rules memorized and continue and wish to enforce them. I feel my time as a moderator so far has been quick, but I want to get back as an Admin to help players even more, and easily.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user).
A situation as a moderator that I've encountered and was an obstacle, was when a player had a name changing script and was very disrespectful in OOC, Advert, and group chat. I struggled to find his steam ID and name as it continued to change a very rapid pace. Thankfully, after a few minutes he turned it off and I got him punished.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?
Hello Danny, welcome to the staff team! Being a new staff member, there are many exciting new doors that have opened to you!
As a new moderator, there is a meeting every Saturday at 2:00 PM EST. You should attend, but we understand that everyone has a life outside of the community, and schedules can interfere with you coming to the meeting.
During the meeting, you as a moderator, will review other Moderator applications, as well as enjoy the wonderful other staff members you will soon, if not already know.
As a moderator on the server, your primary job is to help players, but make sure you're having fun!
You've probably noticed the new job you've unlocked as you've received the Moderator rank. The "Mod On Duty" job.
Once you've switched to this job, you can NOT Role-play. Role playing whilst you're the Mod on Duty job, you can be looking at a warning, or demotion if you've received warning of this or other rule breaks before.
Now we'll go over the commands, but I'd recommend using the TAB menu to handle players.
These first three commands, I call them the transportation commands.
Goto - This commands sends you to the players location
Example - /goto billymays123
Bring - Bring's player(s) to your location.
Example - /bring cokadoodledoo123
Teleport - TP's to the location that you're staring at.
Example - /tp blazeit420
Note when you teleport players, make sure you look at the ground and either use the /tp command, or use the Tab menu.
Let's move on to the Other Commands.
Slay - Kills player(s).You can use specific slay's like : Normal, Silent, Explode, and Rocket.
Example - /slay Pizzaman37
Normal Slay - Regular Slay
Example - /slay Pizzaman37 normal
Silent Slay - Normal slay, cannot bee seen.
Example - /slay Pizzaman37 silent
Explode Slay - Player Explodes.
Example - /slay Pizzaman37 explode
Rocket Slay - Rockets the player in the air!
Example - /slay Pizzaman37 rocket
Kick - "Kick" Allows you to kick a player. Keep in mind you cannot Do this to Other moderators or higher tier staff ranks on the server.
Example - /kick Pizzaman37 (Reason)
Freeze - This command can make a player immobile You can set the time of the freeze. Can be canceled by doing /unfreeze.
Example - /freeze Pizzaman37 (amount of time to be frozen)
Slap - This Slaps the player, you can set a amount of times, and how many damage.
Example - /slap Pizzaman37 (Amount of Slaps) (Damage per slap)
Warn - This will warn a player
3 Warns = Kick, and 4 = ban.
Example - /warn Pizzaman37 (Reason)
Ignite - This command the ignites a player of fire. Remember to do /extinguish when you feel you've ignited the player(s) long enough.
Example - /ignite Pizzaman37. /extinguish Pizzaman37
F1 System - The F1 system is how you'll be handling F1s. When you press F1, you'll notice you can no longer make F1s, instead you will be handling F1s! When you're in the menu you will open up to the F1 section, where you can view all current F1s. You can handle them here, or discard them. Once handled, you can goto, bring the player, or stop handling it. The next menu, are the warnings that have been given out to players. You can view the admin that gave the warning, and the player that received it. The next menu is the Logs section! I prefer these logs, along with most of the staff team because you can search up steam ID's, deaths, player logs, and they're color coded! Thanks to EMP we can now use these, and help handle rule breakers or help players out more easier than ever.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
Hello [players name],
You were propspamming in game, but sounded as if you were sad to see yourself be perma-banned. Looking over your ban appeal I can tell your best interest is to follow the rules and return. I will unban you, but I do not want to see you doing anything of the sort again, and thank you for your time with the unban appeal.
Why I should be promoted (we recommend around 150 words).
I should be promoted because I feel I know the rules, i'm active, helpful, kind, and forgiving. When I'm on, I'm usually handling F1's while RPing. I'm not scared to handle complicated F1's, in fact I prefer those. I will show new staff members around, and help veteran staff members if required. ZARP Gaming is like a second home for me, and I just love it. I handle rule breakers proffesionaly, and efficiently. I am a very fair moderator and believe I would be one of your best staff members on ZARP Dark RP. Being american, I'm usually on when no other staff are, and handling the F1's solo, like this week. Being an administrator would only help me handling the rule-breakers that are on, or help other people. Gametracker has been giving me issues this week, but hopefully that won't bring a negative aspect to people voting on my application next week. As stated above, I follow the rules, and enforce them. I'm active on the forums in helping people with their applications if they've missed anything, I've never been spoken to about breaking a rule in the time that I've been a user recently, or moderator, and it will be the same case as an administrator, I can swear on that.
