Languages I speak: Dutch and English. ~Promotion Related~ Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin. I have learned alot of things as a moderator, these are a few. The first and probably most important thing I've learned is how to handle F1's in the best possible manner with the least waste of time, note that this does not mean I don't put any time or effort into doing my F1's, it simply means I don't waste any time while doing them which allows me to assist more people who need it in a short period of time. I have also learned to remain calm and professional in every kind of situation which does help me alot. Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user). The biggest obstacle I had to work around were propabusers. One of the most annoying situations that happened was when I kicked a propspammer and he just rejoined and changed his steam and RP name and propspammed again. This was really annoying due to the fact that I was not able to ban him for his actions and had to wait for an admin to come online. I collected as much proof as I could of him propspamming and saved his steam ID. Once an admin came online I showed him the proof and he permanently banned him. If you had to write an email to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp? Hello (name here), first of all I'd like to welcome you to the ZARP staff team. Today I will be training you to make sure you know everything you need to know, so let's get started! The "Admin Keypad Scanner" How to use it? Aim at a prop and left click to check if there are any and/or how many keypads connected to the prop. When to use it? If you are unsure whether someone is propblocking or not. If someone sumbits an F1 claiming that someone is propblocking you could use the scanner to check if there are any keypads connected to the prop. Also, if there are no keypads connected to the prop please make sure there isn't another way to get in his base before warning him. Time for the most exciting part, your new commands! Please note that teleport commands can NOT be used while roleplaying. /bring How to use it? Type /bring <Name of the player you want to bring here> When to use it? If a player is stuck in a prop/wall/other player you could use /bring <name here> to spawn him next to you. /tp How to use it? Type /tp <Name of the player you want to tp here> When to use it? This command could also be used when someone is stuck. Basically this command teleports the player to the place you're aiming at. /back How to use it? Type /back <Name of the player you want to return here> When to use it? This command could be used once you're done with an F1 and you want to return both players to their previous location. Note that this command does not work when you /bring someone. /goto How to use it? Type /goto <Name of the player you want to go to here> When to use it? If you want to go to someone to talk to him about an F1 against him for example. /warn How to use it? Type /warn <Name of the player you want to warn here> When to use it? This command can be used to warn a player who broke a rule. If a player receives 3 warnings he will be kicked from the server and if he would receive 4 warnings he would get banned for an hour from the server. /kick How to use it? Type /kick <Name of the player you want to kick here> When to use it? This command may only be used if a player refuses to do something you ask him. /voicemute How to use it? Type /voicemute <Name of the player you want to mute here> When to use it? This command can be used if a player refuses to stop mic spamming after you warned him. /freeze How to use it? Type /freeze <Name of the player you want to freeze here> When to use it? This command could be used if your in a F1 situation and a player keeps running away. /slay How to use it? /slay <Name of the player you want to slay here> When to use it? This command could be used if a citizen refuses to holster his big gun for example. /ignite How to use it? Type /ignite <Name of the player you want to set on fire here> When to use it? This command could be used as a punishment but I highly recommend using another command to punish a player. Alright! We're done with the commands, time to tell you more about the F1 system! You have probably used the F1 system as a normal player before. However, today I will tell you how to use it as a staff member! Once you receive your moderator rank in-game you will notice that when you press F1 a tab will open instead of the little screen asking you what you need help with. If there's an F1 that hasn't been solved yet you will see there's a priority for every F1, always choose the F1 with the highest priority. You will also see the reason the person made an F1 and if the F1 is currently being handled by another staff member or not. The second thing the F1 is useful for are the logs. The logs show when a player killed someone/got killed by someone, when he got arrested/arrested someone and if he has recently changed his job. The last thing you can use the F1 system for is to check warnings. Some Tips 1. You could bind /tp to a key by typing bind <KEY> /tp in the console. This allows you to teleport around the map faster. (This can NOT be used when roleplaying). 2. If you catch someone doing something ban worthy please collect proof and save his steam ID as an administrator can't ban someone if you don't give him proof. 3. Don't hesitate to ask other staff members something in admin chat by typing /// <Message here>, we're always here to help you! 4. If you were to kick someone who has the same name as another person or a symbolic name you can hold tab and click on his name which will display all commands. Simply click on kick and enter the reason you are kicking him. Congratulations, you now know everything you should know as a moderator! Remember to not abuse your new powers as this could lead to a demotion. Have fun and see you in-game! Explain how you would handle the following situation: Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be? I would first try to remember if I had to warn the person who appealed alot before and if I had been in alot of F1's where he actually did something wrong before. If not, this would be my reply: Hello x, first of all I would like to thank you for putting effort into your appeal. If you had read the rules carefully you would of obviously known propspam is not allowed. However, I decided to decrease your ban to 1 week. In this week I would like you to think about what you have done and re-read the rules. If I ever see you doing this again you will not be unbanned. Why I should be chosen (longer answer expected here - at least 150 words). The main reason would be because as an aministrator you have more power which allows you to help more people and allows you to ban people who try to harm the server without having to wait for an administrator to come online. I do my best to do as much F1's as I can. I'm a friendly person and I'll be as patient as possible if players have an issue that they need to solve. If I came across a situation in which I had to make a decision involving banning someone, I would first investigate and ensure that justice is served accurately instead of handing out the ban without much thought (as this could lead to someone paying for another persons crime). Being a ZARP administrator isn't just telling people "You do this. You did that, now you do this.". Being an administrator isn't just "Oh haha I have a higher rank than you so go fuck yourself now.". Being an administrator isn't even "Lawl, /noclip. Fun fun fun." The job of an administrator isn't just to discipline. The job of a administrator is to push ZARP to it's limits. Not to push it backwards, but to pull it forwards. Disciplining those that damange the game is important, but that's not the role of an adminsistrator. It's to help in the community, in every way. I try to be as active as possible and help out people by answering all of the questions and F1's they have. Being an administrator would give me a bigger chance to help every single person that requests it and ban the players who try to damage the server. A few will know me as the one that makes bad jokes and occasionally makes you laugh, and a few will think of me as a terrible troll who talks too much. Whatever you think, I assure you that if I am given this position, I will not disappoint. I give respect to everyone as persons, I may not like some attitudes but be sure you will always have my respect for whatever you choice will be. Another reason why I think I should become an administrator is because I have the experience, the motivation and the time. I don't have exams this year and almost no homework so there's no excuse to go inactive for any reason. Time on the Server: + Support Personality: + Support Knowledge of the Rules: + Support App Quality: + Support Matureness: - Support Additional notes: I have seen you a lot on the server and I've seen how you handle F1s. You are more than qualified to become an admin but i think like tigz has mentioned you need to work on your matureness a bit. I wish you the best of luck in the staff meeting. Final Decision: + Support |

Chris asked me if I applied for mod or admin, when I told him I applied for mod he told me I could go straight for admin since I have been an admin before so no, it wasn't because of the +supports |

Chester, don't jump to conclusions instantly, Illusion(AKA Snupe) is an old staff member, its not hard to notice, and players who have been admin from the past and got demoted, can instantly apply for admin, I've seen lots of players do this. Also, seeing as I left my feedback on your moderator template, I'd like you to know that it's still the same, it looks good and all, good luck man! Thanks Blocked! Oh and here's my resignation thread for anyone who doesn't believe me zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/6-general...-from-all-zarp-ranks |

First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for making the effort to apply for a rank on the ZARP Semi Serious DarkRP. Your application has been discussed at an administrative meeting, and from there it has been voted on.
As the number of 'yes' votes exceeded the number of 'no' votes you received, you have been accepted. Towards the bottom there is a button leading you to a download of a 'welcome pack' (moreso intended for new moderators) - this will give you a brief insight into your duty and how to do it, but before we can give you your rank you will have to attend a training session. You can ask any superadmin for your training.. You need to attend a weekly meeting on our Teamspeak server (IP is 94.23.19.200), it would also be appreciated if you can click the banner in my signature and add me on steam so that we can manage the meetings more easily. Congratulations on behalf of the administrative team. . |
