How would you deal with someone who is being bullied on TS3/Discord?: Bullying is a very serious issue, and no doubt almost everyone has probably received or it or possibly done it to some extent. As a previous TS3 Head Administrator, even to my first time staffing the teamspeak there's been
many situations like this. Sometimes the person doing it isn't even aware what they're doing is bullying or affecting the other individual in some negative capacity.
If I was handling a situation where a user was being bullied by another user on the TS3/Discord servers I would deal with them pretty much the same way excluding some features TS3 has that discord does not (Pokes/PM's vs DM's etc.). I would bring the player reporting another player to have a chat with them in one of the spacers or over text, whichever they were more comfortable with to get their side of the story. Once I've gotten their story and heard them out, I would ask them if they had any evidence to back up their claims to help solidify their statements. Even if they didn't, I'd go speak with the user being reported and get their side of things. If I had deduced that what they were doing was indeed bullying, I'd let them know how negative and toxic it is and how it affected the individual. I'd hint at and suggest that they should apologize for their behavior to the other user as well. If they did, I'd ask the player reporting them how the apology went and if they accepted it. Obviously there can be dozens of outcomes for a bullying situation, but this is a pretty common one.
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3/Discord and when they're used
appropriately:
Moving players - This can be executed by dragging a players user name into other channels.
Giving and taking away of server ranks - If a player has been demoted, and you're in the place of power and have approval, you can remove or in other cases, if they've been promoted and have yet to receive their rank, and higher ranks in power of that server are okay with it, you can give them the rank they've been promoted to.
Removing avatars - Avatars can either be a good, or bad thing. Removing avatars comes in handy when a player has something breaking teamspeak rules, or TOU.
Kick - Useful when a player is being disruptive, usually happens before you move on to harsher punishments such as a ban.
Ban - If a player is being discriminative, racist, or disruptive in any manner and you've verbally warned or kicked them, you can ban them from the teamspeak disallowing them to come back in, unless they avoid punishment and join in on a different IP which can result in harsher punishments.
Why I should be chosen? (we recommend around 50 words):
I'm a very active user of the teamspeak server. I'm pretty much always on from when I wake up to when I go to bed, as well as the discord. I'm a former TS3 Head Administrator, and have been TS3 Staff countless times so these powers will not be foreign to me. I'll be able to help users and staff alike while online, and be able to help out in a very productive way due to my activity and experience. I've not come across any abusive users I've had to report thankfully, but am always reading pokes and the teamspeak server in general to ensure it's all running smoothly for everyone. I believe myself to be the most experienced, and active candidate to apply for the position.
