How do you feel that your time as an administrator has contributed to becoming a super administrator::
I got my first Moderator Application accepted over 3 years ago. Since then, I've always enjoyed staffing. I enjoy staffing and I deal with a lot of people breaking rules on a daily basis. I've dealt with a large number of F1's, appeals and reports across the servers. I'm a calm person and I always take situations seriously and wait for both parties to have their side of the stories before I hand out punishments. I've had issues where staff members have broken different rules without knowing and I'd like to help out with that. If people have questions regarding rules or other staffing problems then I am usually there to help. I've always been a polite staff members and have never abused my powers to gain advantage. My experience as staff has improved me and the server a lot and I feel like I have all the experience I need to climb another rank within the ranks.
Players usually report others for cheating, such as aimbotting, wallhacking etc. I want to be able to help with such situations. Currently, the amount of time I spend staffing, I can only spectate, record and send the video to a higher staff member (If I have permission). We cannot ban them ourselves unless we have the proof we need. Me being able to anticheat different people would make me more useful in the staff team. I've been staff multiple times, rarely have reports on them and if I do, they usually get denied. There has been a few people recently that I have just reported to higher ups to deal with, as I do not have access or permission to deal with cheaters. I recently reported a guy for cheating to a Head Administrator but the staff member saw nothing, but I still had a feeling the user was cheating. I then told a Super Administrator about it, hours later, and the user was caught cheating.
What makes you a good candidate for the super administrator team? ( in this part you can go as detailed as you want):
*I will try to keep this short and easy to read.*
* Experience:
I have been staff multiple times over the course of 3 years and I only has a grudge with the staff team a long time ago which led to my demotion. Since then, the staff team changed and I do not have anything against the current staff members and I actually feel thanked and welcomed for once, which is great!
I have a lot of staffing experience and I feel like I know enough to know what I am doing. 3 years is a long time and I have been staff multiple times, which has given me a lot of knowledge of the rules.
* Friendly:
I am always friendly and I try to keep myself as calm as possible. I always listen to people and try to calm them down if they're arguing. If people disrespect others then I will try to stop them as soon as possible and try to figure out a way to solve the problem. I rarely try to start drama across the servers and I think it's the best not to. My attitude is great and I think that people should have a good attitude no matter what.
* Dedication:
I join the server(s) everyday and I like staffing. I mostly fly around and spectate players to make sure everything is alright and watch known rulebreakers to make sure they follow the rules. I have done a huge ton of F1 Requests throughout my years as staff and I still enjoy helping players out. I am really active and I come on everyday for hours to make sure the new staff members gets the help they need and to make sure the server is clean. I mostly come on Server 1 because it's the most active server and where most people need help.
Sometimes, it can be quite hard to get in touch with a Lead Team member. I am extremely active so it'd be very easy to contact me and see if I can solve the issue if I get this position.
* Trust:
I have done some bad things throughout my years but since I started playing again, I've gained a lot of trust and the amount of experience of staffing I have is very good for me applying. I have spent a lot of time during these 4 years i've been a part of Zarp and most of the time I've enjoyed it. I have a good attitude towards players and staff and I never accept people discriminating others whether it's on the servers, teamspeak or any other platform.
Explain a situation as an administrator you encountered that was an obstacle that required the help of a lead team member but you had to work around it when no lead team member was available:
Last time I was Admin, there was a Moderator massively rulebreaking & teleported people on Server 3. I joined and saw that the staff member did a lot of bad things so I froze the staff member and was talking to them. The staff member said that they resigned a few days before that and didn't care about breaking rules but never got rid of the staff members rank so I convinced them to stop and we had a little chat about what they were doing. I scrolled through my Steam and no Lead Team was online for about 30 minutes. I kept freezing them until I saw that Fred Wroolie got online on Steam. I quickly messaged him and he got on and helped me with the problem. We had a talk with the player and they got banned for a while I believe.
Explain how you would review and handle an abuse report against another staff member:
I would handle it like I usually handle reports but with a little more effort and deeply look into things the staff has been accused of doing.
I'd collect and review the evidence and deeply look into it multiple times to make sure I don't miss anything and to make sure I understand the situation as much as I can.
I would add the reporter on Steam so I can get his story of the situation and then add the reported player and check their side of the story. After they gave the stories I would invite them to a Steam group/TS/Discord and invite them both to see if they can agree to what has happened and to make sure they understand what is going on and the rule the reported staff member have broken.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation:
A staff member bans a user for an excessive amount of time, how do you approach the staff member to ensure that everyone is treated fairly?
This actually happened a on the 04/09-18 when a user had not been punished for over 2 months. They had a situation where the Administrator did not fully understand a rule and falsely arrested somebody. The user got a little pissed and began to be aggressive towards the staff member. The Administrator banned the user for 4 days and then extended it to a week. The user made a ban appeal and I looked into it. I contacted both of them and added them both to a Steam Group where they had a conversation. I talked to the Administrator they decided to unban the user since there was a long time ago since the user last was punished and that the ban was way too excessive. The user got unbanned and I felt proud.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation::
A staff member is dealing with a user but is struggling to do so in an appropriate manner. How would you resolve the situation?
I would spectate and listen for a little bit and see how they act. If they dont improve on their attitude then I would calmly show and help them how to handle the situation and make the sure user is handled in an appropriate way. I would then tell them that they need to improve on handling situations correctly and spectate him. If they do the same thing then I will do the same thing again. If he does it a third time then I will simply tell him to fix his atittude and I will bring him up in the Lead Team Meeting.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation::
A staff member accuses another staff member of breaking rules, how would you help resolve the situation?
I would simply ask them to teleport to me while we're ingame and I'd kindly ask them what's going on. If it's against the rules then I'd simply decide whether it's bad enough to bring up in the Lead Team Meeting. If it's not against the rules then I'd kindly ask them not to argue and inform the staff member who's accusing another staff that it's not against the rules and that they should ask other staff members or a LT member for a direct answer whether it's allowed or not.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation::
A staff member acts in a disrespectful manner towards another staff member and or sparks an argument within the staff team. How do you resolve the situation?
I would kindly ask the staff member to stop and ask them to come on TeamSpeak to talk about it. Staff members should not argue or act in a bad way towards each other. It will just show others that they don't like each other which isn't a good thing. Staff should always behave in a good manner no matter what. If they have issues then they should take it somewhere private, such as Steam, Discord or TeamSpeak.
I would tell the staff member that they cannot behave like that and that they should improve and focus on their attitude before they get themselves in trouble for something stupid.
Explain in detail how you would act in the following situation::
You spot a staff member breaking rules to the point of harming other users, how do you approach the staff member?
I would spectate the staff to see what their doing. If it's something extreme then I would teleport them away and have a conversation to see if I can solve it. If it's something really bad, I would emergency demote them and I would bring it up in the Lead Team Meeting.
If the staff member is not doing anything extreme then I would simply tell them to stop and not repeat what they have been doing.
Thank you for reading! It'd be really nice if you could give me constructive criticism and give feedback on what to improve and make sure if I have what it takes.
