Explain "Random Death Match" and give an example scenario:
Random Deathmatch (RDM) is when one player kills another play without a valid reason to do so.
Player B see's someone he doesn't like on the server (player A) so he goes and hunts them down just to shoot them, this would be RDM as he would not have a valid reason to actually kill player A.
Explain "New Life Rule" and give an example scenario:
New Life Rule (NLR) is when one player goes back to the location of their death within 3 minutes and uses information from their past life to get an advantage in their new life. There are certain exceptions that allows players to break NLR (E.G: Cops breaking NLR at the Police District)
Player A gets killed by player B in Fountain District, Player A completely ignores his NLR timer and goes back for revenge against Player B.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for RDMing him, the console log shows that player y killed player x.
I would take them both to a roof, I would make sure to get both sides of the story first, whilst looking through the logs. Once I have gotten all the details I think I would need I would make sure that if the stories don't match up or are completely different I would ask for proof from either side.
If I get given valid proof I would then deal with the sit the correct way and hand out punishments if needed.
If I do not get given any proof and the sit continues on as a constant argument then I would take both players back to their original RP position and let them get on with their day.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x accuses player y for breaking NLR, the kills are pretty close together in console (a few lines apart) at a peak time.
From past staff experiences I now know the logs do show if a player was killed whilst breaking NLR, however for the sake of the question. I would make sure to check the times and make sure player Y was killed by player X first and then look for the log of player Y being killed or killing player X, check that the times were within 3 minutes and then go from that.
Why I should be chosen(we recommend around 150 words):
Activity
I have an amazing activity record, if you take even a glance at my gametracker you can see I rarely AFK on the server for long periods of time and I am on for most of the day almost every day. During my time on the server I am always active in the chat talking to players and helping people.
Attitude
My behaviour on the server is a standard as every other player who doesn't break rules, If I think I am doing something wrong I normally go straight to an admin or refer to the rules to make sure what I am doing is okay. I rarely start arguments but there are the odd few times when I do, these arguments are mostly over very petty things and always end after a minute of back and forth of the same argument on each side.
Past Experience
I have a lot of past experience with being staff on SSRP due to me being an ex-administrator, I recieved a lot of praise during my time as an admin as I would actively play and help users and would also get at least 60+ reports done a week.
I am a good leader and have proven this through being super admin on Surf and helping manage a staff team on there, dealing with staff who aren't doing their job properly or aren't doing it at all and help staff members who need help dealing with players when they aren't sure what to do.
Leadership
Mentioned above I was a super admin on Surf, during this time I proved I was able to be a good team leader by helping during meetings and making sure my voice was heard, if a staff member ever needed help I made sure I was able to respond and help make their life as a moderator / admin easier.
Hard Working
Every time I am a staff member I put a lot of things aside, except for the important irl stuff of course and make sure I am able to help my team deal with the problems they are facing, if I get messaged on Steam about needing help on a specific server I won't hesitate to come and help deal with that problem.
Mature
Recently other staff and users have acknowledged that I have had a significant change in attitude towards the server and I am starting to behave again, hopefully I can push that one step further and obtain a staff position so I have something to do over the Summer when I am not busy. With all of the above things I believe I would be a great asset to the staff team and prove that I can be as good as once was.
