Explain how you feel that your time as a moderator will contribute to you becoming an admin:
Well, as I'm currently applying for Admin and skipping ahead of Moderator, I will talk about my past experience with being a moderator:
At first, I found it really difficult to do F1's as I would have to chase people for them to stop as they were completely oblivious to the message sent in the bottom right corner or just had NoSOUND, despite that, I was determined to complete the F1's even if it took several minutes just to get the Reporter's attention. Additionally, my 3 (I think) years of experience will help me with F1's because some minges often like pulling out the "I'm RPing" card until the log disappears, so I have knowledge of all the tricks.
Explain a situation as a moderator you encountered that was an obstacle you had to work around (EG: defiant user):
When trying to stop a rulebreaker, I would have to continuously have to TP to them and attempt to freeze them and while I waste time, they would be ruining the RP for other innocent players, however as an admin, I will be able to stop the rulebreaker in their tracks and prevent more chaos from occuring.
If you had to write a facebook post to train a moderator in between 200-300 words, what would you say to give them the full grasp?:
Hello Moderator,
In a few paragraphs I will teach you the basics of being a moderator and give you a few extra tips as well:
First of all, if you press F1 you will see a menu come up. This shows you "Admin Requests" , "Warnings" and "Loggings". In the bottom right corner of your screen it should show a little red HUD showing you for example: 2 Unhandled Admin Requests. When you right-click on the F1 that you are selecting (Best to choose the one that was requested first) then you will have 4 options. This shows you who the request is by again, Handle this F1, Mark this as finished/ Discard this as spam or you can copy the F1. Once you are handling an F1 a new option should appear, the abort button. The warnings menu shows all the warnings recently given, this isn't really necessary as we can use the F6 Menu.
In the F6 Menu, you are granted access to everyone's warnings/ punishments in the server, however if you type in the Steam ID of an offline person, it will show up with their punishments as well. The HUD is pretty self-explanatory as it just lists the Name of the admin who issued the punishment, the date it was issued and the reason why. The F6 menu is commonly used to find if someone has recent warning/s.
Teleport
Teleport/TP is very self-explanatory, all you need to do is type /tp. This will teleport you to the location your cursor is in. To make it more efficient in F1's I recommend this bind:
This bind will make it more efficient, effective and less frustrating. Additionally, if you ever find yourself in trouble such as being stuck in a skybox or a wall we have a different command for that.
Back
The command /back will teleport you or someone else to their last given location, for example. You TP someone that was at the Fountain to you, if you type /back * then they will be teleported back to the Fountain, you could also type /backspawn */STEAM ID.
Kick
Usually this command would be unnecesary but in some cases you would need to use this. /kick */STEAM ID is probably only used when in propspam as its lagging the server but it would be more better to call a higher authority to /ban */STEAM ID them. If you do ever need to use this, make sure you use /kick (STEAM ID), because if you kick the wrong person that would be your fault and you'd be responsible.
Slay
When using slay, I usually use this if someone is breaking NLR however I would just /backspawn */STEAM ID because its more efficient. I would also use this as a small punishment instead of a warn, or I'd give them a verbal.
Mute
When muting, I recommend using the Tab Menu as its more accurate and so you don't mute the wrong person and for too long. In this case if I do need to use the Tab Menu to mute, I'd only use it if someone is micspamming or being disrespectful even after being spoken to several times.
Freeze
The command freeze, well, freezes them in their spot. You can use this to in order to talk to someone without them shooting/killing/arresting you. To freeze someone just type /freeze */STEAM ID.
As we come to the end I'd like to give you a few tips also if you need any support you can always add me on steam:
TIPS
When using any command make sure you ALWAYS use the Steam ID, because if you aren't careful you could for example, TP someone to you accidentally or even the whole server.
Always stay confident, even if people threaten to make a demote request, don't feel bad, if you are doing a bad job, we would get someone to talk to you and if you have anything you need to talk about, we are all here for you.
Explain how you would handle the following situation:
Player x appeals their ban in great detail, apology and effort. You check the ban list and find that you banned them permanently for propspam, and that this is their first ban. How would your response to the appeal be?
"Hello (User1), after consulting (Staff1), we have decided to unban you from our SSRP Servers as it is your first ban and we both feel that you should be given a second chance. However, if you are caught by another one of our Staff members, you will be permanently banned and will be much more difficult for you to appeal it and for it to be accepted.. Other than that, this appeal has been:
Why I should be promoted(we recommend around 150 words):
I should be promoted because, I am an Ex-Admin and believe I did a decent/good job as one. Additionally, currently several members of the Staff Team have resigned and I am willing to devote most of my time into improving the state of SSRP as currently, it is a hellhole. Mass RDM in spawn are being disregarded and frankly, I believe that once I get admin permissions, those rulebreakers that come onto the server daily just to Mass RDM/A will be banned for an extremely long period of time (if they have done it numerous times before). Moreover, I am willing to offer assistance to new moderators joining the staff team as long as they are willing to learn.
