How would you deal with someone who is being bullied on TS3?
There are two different cases to this, the first being receiving a report by the user being bullied or someone present at the time and the second being witnessing the incident myself.
If it were the first incident, I would start off by moving the user reporting the incident into a spacer and getting the full grasp of the situation by listening to his story. If the player reporting is not involved, I would then bring the bullied user to get their side of it and make sure they have not been affected by what they have been told. After that, I would ask him to remain calm as I will be moving in the client he is reporting into the spacer after that to take his side of the story as well. After doing so and proofing the full story, I will take a certain measure to be decided according to the incident at hand towards the reported player if guilty, which varies between a verbal warning, a kick, and a ban.
If it were the second incident, I witnessed it and therefore do not need any background on the situation, so I would move the client into a spacer and discuss his break of the TOU. I will then decide to take a certain measure to be decided according to the incident at hand towards the reported player, which varies between a verbal warning, a kick, and a ban.
Explain some of the administrative features of TS3 and when they're used
appropriately
Those that are given as punishments are obviously supposed to be within the ZARP Staff Ethos!
Moving Clients: This can be done by dragging a client from a channel to another or by using the "Move Client to Own Channel" command from the drop box options. This is used to move yourself and a client into a spacer to discuss a certain situation on the TeamSpeak or a TOU breach, as well as joining spacers to discuss important Lead Team issues with my fellow LTMs in private as I am a Super Admin on DarkRP.
Kick Client from Channel: This is used to force someone back into the AFK/Lobby Room with a reason to it; it can be used as a form of punishment to notify someone of their rulebreak. Obviously they should be talked to first or after, depending on the situation.
Kick Client from Server: This is used to force someone off of our TeamSpeak server with a reason and is used as a form of punishment for breach of the TOU.
Ban Client: This is used to have someone banned off of our TeamSpeak server for a set duration with a reason; it is mainly for users who are constantly breaking the TOU.
Set Server Group: This is used to give someone their in-game rank ranging from Moderator to Head Administrator on all of the ZARP Gaming Servers and to take it away from them in cases of resignation.
Set Channel Group: Now this is usually not needed as it is only used when giving someone the Gang Owner rank in their own Gang Channel, which is supposed to be done by a TeamSpeak Head Administrator.
Delete Users Avatar: This is supposed to be used when a client's avatar is against the TOU or inappropriate.
Grant Talk Power: This is not usually needed but can be used in special events hosted by TS Head Admins+.
Why I should be chosen? (we recommend around 50 words):
I would like to state that I believe it is vital that a Lead Team Member is a TeamSpeak Staff member to be able to handle certain situations regarding the staff team and the server on the TeamSpeak, as well as training new staff; it is why we are given the rank upon our promotion after all. I will now discuss my main qualities as to why I believe I qualify for the position.
Experienced
I am heavily experienced as a TeamSpeak Staff Member given that I had the rank for around 8 months. During that time I came across many TOU breaks which I dealt with myself, being users disrespecting, being racist, spamming, etc., as well as users evading bans on the TeamSpeak. I always performed my duties properly and I am ready to get back on the team and deal with the rulebreakers!
Trusted
I am very trusted within the community given that I have held a Lead Team position on DarkRP for almost a year now, as well as being an Appeals Section Moderator for around that time. I was always a TeamSpeak Staff member for around 8 months and was demoted, not for abuse of powers, but for reasons I will discuss further on in the application.
Active
Given that I am a Lead Team Member on DarkRP, I am almost always on the TeamSpeak to discuss situations with the other LTMs or with Admins, Moderators, and Users. During my free time from my admin duties on TS, you can find me either talking to some friends and having a laugh or sitting in the AFK/Lobby Room in case I am needed while doing something else.
Dedicated
I am very dedicated to the community as I have been staffing for well over a year and a half non-stop. I am well experienced of how things run in the community and I am ready to hold my TeamSpeak Staff rank again.
Leader
Now this is not always needed on the TeamSpeak, however I have good leadership skills ready to be used whenever the situation calls for it.
My Demotion
You can find my appeal here:
zarpgaming.com/index.php/forum/appeals/95891
Now I was demoted from my TeamSpeak Staff rank roughly 3 months ago. The reason is yet unclear for me, but it may or may not include using a soundboard and not listening to higher ups. Now from my understanding, and this is from a few replies off TS Staff that voted on my demotion, they apparently thought that I had received an official warning for this the meeting prior, which is completely false. Now I do not know where this false information came from, but I think it may have affected the vote of my demotion.
Nevertheless, it has been over 3 months now and I have improved my ways massively, I think it is time to get back on the team where I was before.
EXTRA CREDIT: How much does Tyler sell client Icons for?
Para sells them, not Tyler. Pricing is $50,000,000 roleplay cash on DarkRP per client icon.
