Hello skript, these are quite bold accusations which you should be certain about before making, as it happens, you cannot be 100% on this matter at hand.
You may believe that knowledge is justified true belief where you
-believe in a statement
-you have evidence to back up such statement
-the statement is true
Yet, there are several issues with this. In gettier cases it a statement appears to be justifed, true and believed yet, you would be reluctant to call it so.
For example,
-smith has heard from his boss that jones will get the job
-smith sees that jones has 10 coins in his pocket
-smith makes the statement “the person who will get the job will have 10 coins in his pocket”
This is justified as smith saw the amount of coins in jone’s pocket, and he heard from his boss that jones will get the job.
However,
-Steve ends up getting the job
-but, coincidentally Steve also has 10 coins i his pocket.
It then follows that smith “knew” that Steve would get the job, but we would be reluctant to say so.
It follows that we then need a more robust definition of knowledge, infallabilism makes it certain that you have knowledge as it states you can only “know” something if you can’t rationally doubt it. And as it happens, there is a rational doubt of the validity of this proof as discord messages are easy to fake. Good day.
So it is for this reason that i am going to minus support this report abuse
