Yeah that's delaying gratification, with a goal: Losing weight. I don't understand the goal of not sleeping with your partner. Sexual intimacy to me is how you express your feelings for other. Casual sex is completely different in that sense.

Yeah that's delaying gratification, with a goal: Losing weight. I don't understand the goal of not sleeping with your partner. Sexual intimacy to me is how you express your feelings for other. Casual sex is completely different in that sense.

Sexual intimacy is an amazing way to express for feelings, but there are so many ways to do it. Also, if you truely want to follow a religion, you aren't going to pick what rules to follow and what not, you either do it with commitment or not. Either way, from a non-religion related perspective, I think that sexual intimacy between two very committed people who are in a monogamous relationship, is way more acceptable than sleeping around with people just for the sake of it.

That's interesting, because in Sweden there's a lot of christians that break that rule. An old friend of mine whose dad even is a priest has had so much sex with his girlfriend - You wouldn't believe it. They are getting married in like a year actually; I think Sweden overall kinda allows anyone to do anything as long as it doesn't harm others.
