Back in the days VAC bans were delayed by 2weeks-a month, so you only got banned a few weeks after messing up. As EMP said it's most likely your injector that got you busted, but did you ever let it run before in the background while playing? Just curious if their VAC's became instant or not. Even then hitting 1 shot will not get you banned because you need to have 10 people report you before your case gets put into the overwatch system.

They had to change it from 10 to like 6 or 7 I think because Spin botters just go in a game every week with 1 friend and didn't get vac'd pretty flawed system it was.

Anyway for you're case Its probably checked you're process list for any suspicious task's and obviously a DLL injector is the most fishy thing to have open...
I suggest you open the game and see what it says at the top of the screen like where the comp bans usually are.
