Just be confident and be smooth. When I go on dates I like to take my other halfs to Nandos that place as some good ass chicken and it's cheap but looks nice from the outside so what you do is make a big deal about it and when you get there don't even let him/her look at the menu just be like what you feel tonight sugar plumb and name things that are cheap off the menu ( you can look up the menu before hand ) and when he/she picks one boom it's a done deal you got the meal paided for and now it's a done deal for the night.

The opposite happened to me, a friend ordered a pizza to my house with out me knowing and I had to pay for it, and I didn't want pizza.
