First, I guess they eat like "kings" because it's also sort of a "celebration". Not eating during day is supposed to teach people to be humble and to have empathy for those who have nothing to eat. Would have linked you a recent video of a podcaster about ramadan, trying to teach while being funny but it's in french so :c |
