what about having a job? what about having a life lmao I'm sure the community teams whole life isn't based on zarp , other people have shit to do as well man. Besides who gives a fuck let them do there thing man they have been doing this shit for a decade + , Ideas work ( this shit doesn't ) go find something better to do then criticize the owners who probably give a fuck about this post. Anyone in this post talking about zarps fix and claims " they don't care about zarp " care more then the community managers.

Kinda hard to expect managers to live up to a lot of those standards at this point. I only say that because everyone here has grown up and the server has died, CEO was great, but there arent many people in general, and especially in the community that have that level of dedication. I think Richard, Watson, and Nerve are fine for the condition of the server, players who have been around, doing what they want. I just don't see a reason to have the bar set so high anymore simply because there is no need at this current time
This is not to say Richard, Watson, or Nerve don't care as much, but they also don't have the same resources/capabilities (players and engagement) as any other team, so I just don't expect them to be as involved in the community.

My standards for cm are based on 2 things #1 don't unban katje #2 don't send a video of yourself having a wank over an underage community member.

The level of dedication you need now is mad to try to do anything as a cm that makes a difference when there are little two no players. Spent years and years myself as staff and got cm shit happened and I still came back and tried to help out but couldn’t do it anymore because of life but yeah. I personally don’t think the bar is set so high because you can nearly walk in and get cm now there’s no application system anymore, you might get some sort of challenge like come up with an idea for SSRP but that’s about it. Surprised Chute has managed to do it so long and not give up at all.

Sometimes our staff fail to meet those expectations.

ZARP's Developer Transparency Problem 5 hours 21 minutes ago #1429986

in response to some of the previous posts, some of us were pushed out by force despite pouring in massive dedications and sure i guess there was different circumstances at the time especially surrounding my time as CM towards the end, not to be fully ignorant because i made my own errors too, but keep in mind you'd be heavily witch hunted if you dared spent a couple weeks doing something else despite dedicating a very long time putting stuff together, developing things and dealing with community matters. this is not an issue now with things being a lot more relaxed but rather that i think the damage has been done now and we're now seeing the consequences of it years later. obviously there is more to the latter but this did play a part to be quite honest.

there's only so many people you can fall back onto before you really need to start scratching the bottom of the barrel and that comes with no disrespect to the recent CM's but what is their purpose? i can only assume they are there purely to suggest and test updates? we've had no info other than "discussed plans" on the front page of the forums, once again going back to a lack of transparency. i can at least confidently say Richard's purpose has been shown right off the bat, he has always had dedication and shown a lot of really hard work put in, deserving of a position given the sort of person he is too and being a former CM plays a part too.
