Hello,
While writing this topic, I'll be doing research about this topic.
In 2009 we had roughly 1,42 billion ( 1,06 billion passenger cars and 363 million commercial vehicles) If we take this amount and convert to how many wheels, we would come to:
Passenger cars: 1,06 billion x 4 (tires) => 4,42 billion
Commercial vehicles: 181,5 million x 4 (tires) and 181,5 x 6 (tires) = > 726 million + 1,089 billion = 1,815 billion tires
Total of 6,235 billion tires that use to drive on highways or construction sites, this amount hasn't the amount on trains, planes, bikes, tanks, etc.. So to be exact and doing research we come up to
37,9 billion tires yet every year we produce over 2 billion tires (:
Article 1)
Now we take a look at housing including apartments, flats, villa's, hotels, resorts, etc.. We come up to
42 billion doors in 2021.
So I think we can say
the amount is even. Most of the data is outdated especially the one for car tires. There might be a small shortage of on the tires article on 2009 which been obsolete.
