Is there more doors or wheels in the world? 2 years 7 months ago #1381814

Hello,

While writing this topic, I'll be doing research about this topic.

In 2009 we had roughly 1,42 billion ( 1,06 billion passenger cars and 363 million commercial vehicles) If we take this amount and convert to how many wheels, we would come to:

Passenger cars: 1,06 billion x 4 (tires) => 4,42 billion

Commercial vehicles: 181,5 million x 4 (tires) and 181,5 x 6 (tires) = > 726 million + 1,089 billion = 1,815 billion tires

Total of 6,235 billion tires that use to drive on highways or construction sites, this amount hasn't the amount on trains, planes, bikes, tanks, etc.. So to be exact and doing research we come up to 37,9 billion tires yet every year we produce over 2 billion tires (: Article 1)

Now we take a look at housing including apartments, flats, villa's, hotels, resorts, etc.. We come up to 42 billion doors in 2021.

So I think we can say the amount is even. Most of the data is outdated especially the one for car tires. There might be a small shortage of on the tires article on 2009 which been obsolete.

A car has 4-6 doors on a 4-wheel car. A house has no wheels. Apartments have no wheels. A tank only has 2 wheels.

Doors are abundantly overrepresentated relative to wheels.

I excluded motorhomes out of the equation so now I'm only accounting for normal homes in the context of what most people live in, but the durability has to have some minimum standard to be considered a home. We cannot for instance incorporate cardboard boxes as real homes as they do not contribute to reliable data which will help us form a reasonable conclusion.

Nice use of whataboutism there. Gaming chairs are extremely uncommon in normal households. You deliberately point towards anecdotal evidence to prove your thesis that already is wrong in order to fulfill your belief that was not even close to begin with. I can play dirty too: Indonesia and its neighbors has a billion people living in multiple cardboard boxes with tiny doors and no wheels. How about that?

Nice use of big word waffle there. You literally just said that you cannot incorporate cardboard boxes as real homes as they do not contribute to reliable data which will help us form a reasonable conclusion. Also toy cars are much more common in normal households so why not mention them.

I defined cardboard homes as more doors as priori to disprove your disfactual convolution of incorporating tiny fucking baby wheels under a gaming chair as relevant data points. Your disingenuous use of information bias is a decisive factor for confronting doors as the leading representative. Yet, ZARPians deduct their reasoning upon what they know best: Gaming, which cause them to deliberately select wheels over doors. A repeated echo of 'monkey see, monkey do'.

There's a lot of houses in the world, each have at least one door.
According to google the average home has about 19 doors. But some doors use mechanism that allow them to open and close. Some doors use cogwheels in their mechanisms; which has wheel in the name.
Some use bearings which aren't directly wheels. But could most definitely be used as the critical part of making something a turning thing i.e. a wheel.
So, there's probably a wheel inside a lot of doors.

definition of a wheel:
a circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground.
