I mean, we do have many top notch scientists throughout the world (and other stuff), but who would want to stay in a ruined country who's only getting worse, when their own future is so bright?
edit: I mean, we're 15th worldwide, and considering the shitstorm Greece has been put through millenia, it's amazing we're not a third world country by now but we're slowly headed towards it because of modern politics hHAhaA
Well you guys seem to be mostly relying on
strippers the vacation industry. What's Greece like now currently? Right or Left? Do you have actual plans on moving?
Also what are you studying for? I'm guessing something regarding the word political.
Greece's weird right now. It always has been to be honest, there hasn't been a period where we were truly flourishing economically, from even Ancient Greece (the whole geographical period) we've been fucking each other. Weird thing is we only stop killing each other for gain when a common enemy appears itself. Greece is
very weird dude. However, it's really unique. Most greeks I personally interact with really appreciate the border between living simplistic and being wise. As a culture, we've always relied on maxim as a way of living which is something I personally hate with a passion, however for the common person it's actually a really good thing. For example, ancient greek philosophers such as Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Επίκουρος (dunno how his name is in english) and pretty much every philosopher relied on maxim to spread the idea itself, and many of them still remain in our culture, which is interesting enough.
Greece is has always been a strongly leftist country, we really haven't ever been right wing. It's kind of worrying however that (literal, I'm not even kidding, I don't use the term lightly) a national-socialist party are getting a big portion of votes, and it's only getting worse as we put ourselves in a worse position. They're using buzz-words and appeals to emotion as well as pride to gain votes. They've also partaken in many terrorist actions as a (whole) party, and the party leader is still in jail; however, that doesn't stop morons and propaganda.
I don't have plans on moving yet, I really like living with not so many stuff, all I want is an apartment, a balcony that's looking at a street far away with lights, my cigarettes and a glass of whiskey to be happy. Wife is optional, but would help stuff. Although, I'm really devoting myself to science, and I always strive to put other's needs above me. I've seen tons of shit and have gone through shitstorms, and I really don't demand anything extreme, just what I previously mentioned, so I don't have any complaint with others being "happy"; I really enjoy seeing happiness in others. I'll be involving myself in any sort of charity I can help in the future. but right now it's not happening due to studies throughout the whole year.
I'm studying computer science, I'll be finishing my school as a software engineer in 4 years. I'll also been doing a lot of seminars; I've already started, and I've gotten my first certification, which is a big step.
I will involve myself in politics later, I have long plans on getting mayor and perhaps if that goes well, I'll try to go for congressman later in my life. We'll see how that works out, but I strongly believe that (even though I probably can't make a significant change on my own) I'll at least end up a symbol that it's worth involving yourself in this shit, even if everything's shit. We can only hope for a change when we're united, can we not?
