They are not the same thing and I'm not sure why you would say they are "Literally" the same when that is not true.

They're so similar to the point that if you don't like bhop's mechanics, you won't like Surf's either, because they have exactly the same mechanics, except surf has ramps too.
They're quite literally the same, they just play different.

When I said they were the "same" I meant that Surf quite literally runs on the Bhop gamemode. Of course they play differently - I didn't want to imply otherwise. Personally I struggle too much with Bhop to actually enjoy it but I do actually have really good fun on Surf.
